Every time she gets canceled or appears in another series, they change her personality in a desperate attempt to gain readers. Her first series had a very down to earth and boring Kamala. The second volume tried to play up a “lol, so quirky and relatable. She, like, deserves all the gyros.” When she becomes the leader of the Champions in a new series, they make her more like Captain Marvel by acting like a no nonsense stick-in-the-mud. And now that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is basically the new poster boy for teen superheroes, they tried to change her to be a Spider-Man stand-in for this game as a way to emulate Spider-Man’s latest games and movies. No matter what new approach they take with her, the writers always managed to screw her up somehow.

It was a very clever use of social engineering, if I'm being honest. Kamala understood Tony Stark's ego so thoroughly which demonstrated her unerring love of the Avengers. Also, it's a test by Tony that only a true fan would know and couldn't guess by happenstance. Really, it was a amazing scene and the animation and dialogue really sold it to me.

I gave this game an honest try, and it really was a lot of fun at first, but even if you refuse to engage with the loot and multiplayer and just focus on the story, it loses all fun fast. Just play Guardians of the Galaxy. Same engine, same fun destructive environments and brutal flashy combat, but it's a high quality, long single player experience with good writing.

If you reach Level 38 without losing a life and have your plague abilities fully upgraded in Rat Quest, you unlock the Thor boss fight. Zach actually did the voice for Thor during that boss fight. His voice sample is a bit off, but this is almost exactly how the line read. 8:12
