I once had a dress that had a "too high" slit as well and sewed a ribbon in a crisscross pattern with a small bow at the bottom making it looked like it belonged. One of my friends went to purchase the same dress and said her ribbon was missing. LOL Phinella was really good at hiding today. And Dickens little face popping up! Too CUTE!!

I have sewn button on a slit . I put three equally spaced. I tacked the material and added the sparkly buttons and it looked beautiful. So funny as a friend bought the same sweater dress and said that the store was out of the button version.

I did a very similar advent present for my partner last year. I was away for work over Christmas time so decided to turn our house into advent calendar. Every morning I would send him a good morning message with a clue where to find a present. However, having an actual advent calendar box with clues is absolutely superb. Squarespace really is the best. I've been using them nearly two years and I love how easy to use it is! And I've only just barely scratched the surface of what it can do. But it was so easy to set up and any time I need to update a page, like when I release a new novel, I can make the changes in a snap.
