It took us almost 18 years to finally complete all of the changes we wanted (and needed) to make to our pre-owned 1992 Colonial to update it, but we refused to go into debt for any of it. The wait was worth it. Can't wait to watch you transform your new space. Love the warm and cool mixed neutrals- great backdrop for any season.

At 15:36 we've have those lamps since I was a child. My mother wouldn't part with them. 🤣So I sent her this video and told her she's made it to the big time because a renowned designer has them in her home. Love this room!!

The mirror above the piano/organ was a great touch. It needed something & art work wasn’t the answer. The mirror will now bounce the light from the large window. Great job!

Try using Command strips to hang pics in shelves so if you want to rearrange no holes!

Inspired by your videos! I have a similar layout in my living room with the same two focal points - large window and fireplace- I found over time that putting the sofa facing the fireplace worked best, and placed a console table behind it... I wonder if you've tried this layout instead your sofa facing the window? Love the mirror above the piano, I am going to try this too!

I LOVE the shelves!!! Just wanted to let you know that I was in Dollar General the other day and they have some REALLY cute pottery type vases. They are probably small to medium size and they are around $8 each. They remind me of a knock off Pottery Barn accessory. To tell you the truth, I was very pleasantly surprised on how cute they really were. If you are running out or low, I would DEFINITELY check that place out!! 💕💕💕

It’s looking really good! I appreciate the tip about hanging curtains and showing us the projector and how it works. It really is cute and portable. I’m old school, though and don’t really understand how it hooks up with all the streaming medias and such. It certainly is an option in getting away from the big old black box.

Thank you for the tip of adding some dark wood elements to your bookshelf to bring in the tone of the coffee table. I used that trick in my dining room, and my hutch now looks cohesive with the dining table and chairs. Lovely room!

I would change the lounge chair and this small table with ottomans, and fill that bookshelf with books and create a tiny library area. Put a cool light or panel-lit the shelves. You have window there with daylight. Board games are usually played in the evening so that table with ottomans can go where lounge chair is now. ❤

Hello again, the architecture of your home is amazing, but I hope for a lot more color in the future, I keep seeing those built-ins painted in a charcoal or graphite just to make the textures pop more with their muted palette. I'm not of a big fan of neutrals, but I know that's the fashion now.

Looks lovely and relaxing. I would put lamp and chair next to the shelf as a reading nook. Noone will sit on the stools at the round table with the big vase taking up the whole table. And the other chair has its back to the open plan room..not nice to sit there. Instead of "instant gratification" buy for a home.. and buying generic store decorations...it is better to save that money, go on a holiday, a trip, an experience and then buy a painting, decor on holiday!. Then the decor in your home actually has meaning and tells visitors something about you. All my paintings are from vacations and trips. I always saved 150€ for a nice piece to take home (instead of tacky tourist stuff)... usually from stalls and street artists. My house is like a memory book of all my world travels...I love it!
