The amount of second chance points phx gives up is astounding. And the amount of times the defense breaks down after two or three passes is embarrassing

Yeah we need to trade him whilst he still has All Star value to many. The longer we wait the further he will continue to depreciate and the less we will get back in a trade. We are just prolonging the inevitable here. He seems more interested in shoe deals, being unbothered, skipping out on press conferences after embarrassing playoff exits etc than actually galvanising a team with a winning culture and showing any kind of observable leadership. Ditto for KD.

The whole thing in all of this is it takes making all the right moves and all the right players You just will never know if keeping the young players we had and not getting KD and Beal would’ve worked and vice versa. After watching professional sports for years it seems to me that there’s never any guarantees. It’s all a gamble, you try this and that and hope for the best.

Keep KD. You can get more for book. Try to get off brads contract as much as possible. We can’t build with super max contracts. It’s not an issue to build around starts or high paid guys but you legit can’t build a team with 3 super max players….should’ve tried to trade ayton instead of mikal and cam. Weird how now the league is dying for players like them. Could’ve gotten more if they just waited. We waited years for a good young team, now the league is dying for guys that we had in the roster in cam and bridges. Lol we could have at least kept Chris and signed him to a smaller deal…dude changed our culture and changed what everyone thought about Booker. Then poof. All that’s gone. Haven’t seen Booker look right since that Denver series.

My heart wants Booker to retire a sun, but he's the player who makes the most sense to trade right now. We have a Booker lite in Beal whose un tradeable, and Grayson is a very solid back up SG, we don't need all 3, and Grayson isn't getting us back anything that will change things, while booker has both the contract and trade value that we could theoretically retool with out completely blowing things up. While I'm not against trading KD, we don't have a KD lite, so we get significantly worse with out KD compared to being with out Book, so trading KD feels more like a "blow it all up" situation. And we CAN blow it all up (assuming we can find the trade partners) but the recovery from doing so is likely to take longer then the already typical gruelling rebuild due to our not owning our own picks. Trade Book for the best Center we can get for him and an expiring contract, and its possible we can still be competitive going forward till KD leaves or retires. Whether or not we can really push for a title would depend on who we got, and how disgruntled KD and Beal would be at us moving Booker, given the last time a team attempted a retool with out moving KD, KD demanded to be traded, but I think its our best option, if one that would leave me sick to my stomach due to my love for Book.
