Hey Mr Cruz you're a good young man , doing the right thing for some folks who wouldn't even imagine doing a wooden camper ! Thank you I think you'll be fine making things as time rolls on !

It's all a learning curve with design/weight issues, main thing is that you enjoy what you're doing. Keep going, looking forward to more great videos from you :)

I like that your using wood to build with, heavier yes, but it does have it's advantages, can't wait to see the finished product!

I've made a bicycle camper myself and the weight of it isn't too much of a problem, the biggest problem for me was wind resistance. Nice job so far!

one of these would give so many people a 2nd chance. im about to be homeless cuz of poor roommates, and this would help out a lot ESPECIALLY if i could tow it by bike

No kidding! I always wanted to design something that I could send out and people could bolt together and go! Make a simple frame 2 wheels some walls a roof and the hitch be universal! Thanks for watching!

@@MrCruz_TEDM I have been looking for a few days now and can't find any in my area. I can find easy to buy for motorcycles for in the states, but bikes? That is near impossible unless you make it or are in Germany or Denmark
@chasenekowarthrop63842 жыл бұрын
@@MrCruz_TEDM if I wasn't in my current situation, I would make them myself and sell them for cheap to those in need. There are a lot of homeless people over here

I might build one really like that one your building I was going to use fiberglass cloth over Luna plywood sandwiched between a 1" in Rtech insulation but you built looks neat and kinda light nice thinks for the idea. O I plan to live in my trailer an use it as an office a mobile base station. ☺

great idea and love the documenting and following along while building and testing. I'm wanting to build one, but it is hard to find videos that does just this, most all of them are just showing the camper being pulled, which is nice, but actually a walk through of the camper is better. Anyways, great job and i tend to go back over your vlogs of it. I'm already getting some ideas i would like to try on my own. thanks.

Top comment are its to heavy ive seen some of these campers go to upwards of 170 lbs. that's too much so - if you want to build one of these make it out of anything you like I chose wood because its what I had and its all salvaged, everything has been ripped down and made smaller to save on weight if not the camper would weight a lot more than it does. You do not have to build one of these out of wood there is infinite possibilities with different materials!! Keep building and have fun if you build one of these!!

what kind of wood do you use? and how heavy is that thing?! love the idea!
@MrCruz_TEDM8 жыл бұрын
So what I did to keep weight down was to Rip 2x4's into thin pieces and also the frame is made up of thin 2x4 so basically I had to fabricate all the wood from normal 2x4's so its really time consuming to rip 10 ft of wood 100 times XDbut in the end its still fairly light weight. Id recommend making a good wood skeleton then wrapping it and coating it in an epoxy type substance would be much lighter right now its in the 90 pound range but with wheels added and a geared bicycle this is fairly smooth to pull I've been using a fixed gear beach cruiser for testing and it does fine.

How so? then it would be pointless to do videos all id have to do is copy and paste a link to Paul Elkins lol He is great but - This is a Design made 100% by me. If we all did the same thing KZbin would be less fun. No one wants to watch the same thing happen that's no fun. Originality brings innovation, creativity and others can learn from my mistakes to make something better or lighter. New videos coming soon thanks for watching though. Keep Building Be Creative
