It looks alright. I have made pot cozies to keep food warm in my pots, so I reckon i can also make some for inside a bag like this. Thanks for the idea! I’ve also heard of a folk who use a wet towel around their food pannier, wetting it again if necessary - they claimed the food stayed cool even during noon sun. Cheers

It's not my idea. I purchased it from Amazon. I also have a smaller bag that can keep food fresh for longer. It's great for trips when I do not take a stove and I just take cold food.

So I'm curious do you think this insulated bag combined with an ice pack would work for keeping food cold for seven hours? I'm planning a 6 month bike tour next year in the UK and Europe and would like to find a bag that would keep perishable food items cold.

I’ve heard of folk who use a wet towel around their food bag and they claimed to have kept things cool even in desert-like heat. I can confirm I use a cooling towel in the summer which I wet and Wrap around myself, but haven’t tried it around a pannier
