The fact that you can literally build guns with a 3d printer makes this debate a waste of time. We need to focus more on hardening soft targets like schools, retail and parks and looking for ways to improve mental health resources and furthermore, toughen laws for gun violence. Instead we have all these soros backed activists DAs accross the country who have these equity agendas and are actively trying to make it easier for criminals to walk the streets, downgrading multiple felony crimes to misdameanors, etc. But of course the fake news media never wants to talk about those things.

We should do everything we can do to reduce gun violence, including making it illegal to print some weapons and own some weapons. Those laws won’t be 100% effective because no law is. According to FBI homicide data, about 300 to 350 each year are murdered with all types of rifles. Outlawing a specific type of rifle may decrease deaths by rifles, but would most likely increase deaths by shotgun or pistol. These people will not abandon their ideas just because they can not get a specific type of rifle.

@@BrowncoatGofAZ the problem is there is nothing special about the AR15. Most are chambered in 223 or 5.56 which in most states is too small to hunt deer with. My deer rifle shoots a bullet 4 times larger than an AR15 and my muzzle loader shoots a bullet 7 times larger. Buck shot out of a shotgun shoots 9 pellets the same diameter as an AR15 bullet. It shoots the same rounds per minute as my deer rifle, duck shotgun, squirrel gun, and pistol. The only thing that makes the AR15 different is the 30 round mag. The rifle is not the problem and even if you took all AR15s away these people will find another weapon.

You have to have due process. When it comes to schools, metal detectors and an armed officer on campus. Class rooms should have locks a the bottom of the door. It's the type of lock that slides into the floor and they are very difficult to breach. Banning guns is unconstitutional. The people have a right to keep and bare arms. If you were to become successful banning AR 15 rifles, then only criminals would have access to these weapons.
