Biden motorcade from FEMA to White House loses the motorcycle escort and has to stop at red lights.

Not something you see everyday, but the Presidential motorcade lost the motorcycle escort when they turned one way and the motorcade stopped at a red light only to go a different route (with even more red lights). Biden was visiting FEMA headquarters in SouthWest Washington DC after attending a service at Dover AFB for the fallen Marines in Kabul.

Just a couple of notes: First, there was some sort of demonstration on the Mall directly in front of this motorcade about 4 blocks away. I'm not sure if the motorcycles went a different way trying to scout a different path, or if they just screwed up. Second, some motorcades do obey traffic rules, like when he goes to church. They even have gotten stuck in traffic before. This was a bit rare though as it was kind of an 'official' motorcade coming from FEMA so I was a bit surprised to see them just stop at this light (and at they stopped at a few others as they made the way across the Mall). Not sure why--might have been the demonstration or something, might have been because they didn't have the motorcycles.

This was likely a "low profile" motorcade designed not to create too much attention. They often run without flags or presidential seals for things like airport runs, church, dinner, golfing, etc. He came direct from Andrews AFB to FEMA so not entirely surprising to see no flags.
