But I think that all his public appearances are convincing the independents to vote elsewhere. And we need their vote. So for that simple reason, Biden needs to go, and get replaced with literally anyone that can debate Biden’s policies in a coherent way against Trump. Pete Buttigieg would be my first pick, but Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi, Jamie Raskin, literally anyone that can give the “show” that will convince the independents to vote democrat will do.

Voters were aware of that when they elected them both, and voters are aware of who she is already because of it. She would have access to the funds raised by their re-election campaign, and would prosecute the case against Donald Trump more effectively than Biden at this point. If Biden were to step down, the chance it wouldn't be her is infinitesimally small compared to the chance Biden drops out to begin with. She eliminates the concerns around age, and is polling better with younger voters and minorities. Voters are ready for a change. Nobody should pretend at this moment that the election is a binary choice between Biden and Trump. To believe this rigid choice is all we have and think "it is what it is" is to succumb to dreary thoughts of fatalism. You will suppress the vote by discouraging voters, and the polls show this. Though anecdotal, your neighbors and friends in blue states will say the same thing if they've even marginally paid attention to this election cycle.
