My nurse boyfriend had slightly worse symptoms after the second dose with chills, fatigue, and muscle aches. Luckily, just like with you, they went away after a day and we feel very lucky that he was able to get it.

Hi Doctor, my mom is a caretaker and got her vaccine (Phizer). She got her first dose on january 7 and is supposed to get second dose on january 27, but here in Canada there is a major vaccine delay and she just found out her second shot will be postponed further. Does this mean the vaccine will still work?

My Father received the Moderna vaccine and his arm hasn’t been right since

I haven't had the second Pfizer vaccine yet but I had my first on Friday and had basically no side effects. I had a slightly sore arm the next day but much less sore than the flu shot this year. No fatigue or other issues.

I got both doses. Very mild arm soreness both times.

How can you say it wasn't rushed? Even with all the extra funding and trial volunteers, we can't know the long term effects, yet, right? SARS data might've helped, but they are still not the same. I think it's important to be more transparent even while trying to comfort the masses.

Absolutely important to be transparent but the way the study was conducted is standard. Long term side effects are never the goal of the trials prior to FDA approval. Btw, it’s not SARS data per se helps but the push for coronavirus vaccines after SARS and MERS and the understanding of coronavirus structure and behavior. Secondly, mRNA stays for a very short period in the human body before your own immune system takes over and the vast majority of reactions happen in a very short amount of time after vaccine administration.

I've not even got the first dose! Could you do one on antibiotics and diherria. I'm having this problem right now and am really scared cause I'm only halfway through my regiment. And I worry I might get c diff.

won’t reopening schools increase likelihood of covid infections? I know there will be guidelines, but now that there’s a new more contagious variant, won’t it make it more difficult to contain the spread? I’m all for this plan, but i’m just worried reopening of schools are only going to make this worse considering that there are more cases than there were 5-6 months ago. They might as well have kept schools open then and closed them down now?
@AustinChiangMD4 жыл бұрын
Yes this def in evolution and the variants might change things. I think the specifics of how to reopen schools/restaurants/etc need to be worked out. And sometimes the guidance will be exactly that: “hold off and go virtual based on X Y or Z conditions are present locally”
