"I'm spending 1.5 bil to create 1000s of American jobs" Sounds good to me..then I remember when we spent 1.6 bil to defend Israel, in a single night. When you are looking at our country and seeing the dier state of things, just remember our government is fully capable of fixing all of it, they just don't want to.

right! and 80bill "foreign aid" package... But its not so simple as "they dont want to" ... in fact, they've dug themselves in a hole. Most policy makers dont understand the "debt" but the state dept does. The US controls, and wants to keep control, of the central banking system. The reason the dollar hasn't collapsed, despite the USs massive debt, is because we "stabilize" for our debts by stealing from, bankrupting, and destabilizing other countries (which we can do with banking hegemony - opec - war on terror, etc). We are not invested in "defending izz" we are interested in keeping the delicate balance of powers, keeping iran and russia and others with natural resources labeled as "terrorist" so that we can force everybody to buy oil from saudis, who are in our pocket. Keep the illusion of military strength, keep the illusion for the public that we - the largest police state - serve a purpose. A pirates biggest asset is their reputation. That's all we pay for. In short, whenever the debt catches up to US, we start another fight to get out of it. And in doing so, put ourselves in more debt. The US has been a war economy feudal state since Regan. And izz has always been such a state. It was the original zios that dragged us into this way of being.

@strikeforourrights There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can’t take part; you can’t even passively take part, and you’ve got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you’ve got to make it stop. And you’ve got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you’re free, the machine will be prevented from working at all! -Mario Savio

I’m a big protectionist guy, but this is gonna slow down EV and Solar adoption significantly. I’m personally not that concerned about that fact, just saying. Chinese prices are the only reason these markets have been able to compete with oil, especially with the subsidy of the oil industry. American wages, land cost, and minimum profit margins for physical industry ensures that HUGE subsidy will be required. Which will drive up the sticker price just like college because there will be no price restrictions on the companies in question. This only applies if the tariffs are real.

don't u understand by now that adoption of green energy isn't meant to really go full speed ahead. What happens if the world stop buying oil , what happens to the petro dollar? It's just part of the "global warming " agenda to allow America to dominate in the environmental tech sector so we can have the world buying our green tech, but unexpectedly china surged ahead and we don't want that no more. They are never serious about going green. Instead of subsidizing our own green industries , they rather play the zero sum game while blowing money on wars that will undo all the "save the planet" initiatives faster than green tech can save it

This discussion was badly missing an analysis of non-labor costs of production in the USA. Real estate, privatized health care, and pure financialized debt service are all acting as massive brakes on American economic production, vastly more than the cost of labor in sectors like manufacturing and agriculture. China has a massive advantage in a lower cost floor because of public universal healthcare, a less powerful and predatory financial sector, and the cost of housing/real estate being dramatically lower. Address those issues before even thinking about comparing labor costs.
