I'm not a long time fan, though close to ten years now. I feel the same. I like the old Muse, the first 3-4 albums. The more electronica they used in their songs, the less I liked them. But somehow Biffy Clyro manages to still sound exciting even through this type of song. I'm not anti electronic/digital things in music, it's just that it's so easy for a band to lose every feel of human touch. I explain that to myself in that I prefer the band sounding more raw and organic, than mechanical.

The flip-side is though we don't have to see them in arenas. Saw them a couple of years back in Toronto and the place only holds 750. So much fun Hard for European bands to make money touring here as everything is so spread out . The bus and visa costs would add up fast. My all time fav British band said they just can't tour here anymore for those reasons. Plus our market gets saturated with so many US bands doing package tours .

Magnificent pop music! Massive production job but crystal clear natural vocal recording with just enough presence.The song sits well with Gary Go's "Wonderful", for example. I reckon there will be some cool dance mixes. "Hell hath no fury..." when did you last hear those words in a power-pop-rock song? In the chorus, the writer includes the listener with the words : "This is the sound that we make", rather than "i" or "you" . I love the opening line of each verse - "Dear God..." This is a musical letter or prayer to the man upstairs! "We can't unlearn what we've learned". Masterful lyrics! Like I said, as I reach the end of the 3,45 mins. Perfect pop music! Just love @Biffy Clyro!

I like the song, it's different but very catchy and it will for sure be great live! I love it how Biffy always reinvent themselves and yet add the typical Biffy vibe to each song. And loving the heavy guitars, I have enough faith to know that the album won't disappoint me :) Balance, not symmetry surely didn't, it's a whole new experience every time I listen to it.

Honestly, when I heard this song the first time, I guess it was the first song they released before the album... I felt "oh, great, electronica... They're doing what Muse have done: they are abandoning their organic, live sound for synthetic, mechanical, cold, electronic beats". I didn't like that about Ellipsis either. But when I actually sat down and listened to the album (and later went back to Ellipsis), I didn't feel that way anymore. Only Biffy Clyro can do things differently, I'll still appreciate it. This song dhas a strong sense of urgency. It's so far removed from the mechanical, sterile, cold and boring electronica driven music that some bands have turned into. Biffy Clyro are getting better with each album, and I feel like I'm discovering new things about each and any of their albums when I listen. I'm just very impressed. Love it!

I heard this song for the first time while eating my last breakfast with my romantic partners at our hotel. I never heard of Biffy before, but I fell in love with this song.
