Absolutely love that machine, ever since you got her unstuck awhile back! A true battle tank,, er I mean dozer! Nice to watch her work, and I'm sure you love operating her as well. Again thanks for the video, all the best, and may God bless everyone.

Fantastic footage of this classic piece of AC history, glad to see it is still on the job! Very impressive! We used to run AC HD21s and IH TD25s, last time I remember they were still on the job making the company money in 2021!

On ya Rob, you and the Mrs are livin the dream, no matter what happens you had a go. My old man drove a BTD 24 and his mate who worked together drove a HD21. This was back in 60's. All the best mate. PS you have excellent blade control.

Thanks Rodney, the Allis hydraulics are a bit slow but we get the job done.

Good to see you both out and waking up the Allis, love the sound of the old girl doing what she was made for, and the looks on your face showed that you where having a good time. All the best but remember to also take time out to charge the batteries.

Great video Rob and Kel. I love seeing the Alice getting a good workout. I liked view from the dozer when Kel climbed on board. The Alice brings to mind being a kid in Bundaberg and living around the corner from Alex Walker and watching him loading or unloading his machines.

Sweet dozer! Way cooler than the new ones. Even comes with its own shed.
@mountainblokemoments2 жыл бұрын
We call that shed a scrub canopy it protects the operator from falling debris when pushing trees or pulling scrub with another dozer and a long chain.

My family used to have a farm in Gippsland, near Strzelecki, and we had an ancient Allis-Chalmers dozer with a cable actuated blade!!! Must have been from the '50s.
@mountainblokemoments2 жыл бұрын
If you have a look through my videos I’ve done a walk around a couple old cable blade dozers on a property out west.
@timbow502 жыл бұрын
Boy, that other two-track is really washed out bad. Make good drainage for the new road. Now you can haul butt through that valley. You’re moving around more and I hope feeling some better. 👍👍👀
@mountainblokemoments2 жыл бұрын
Yep other road has never had any water diversion put into it. So was just a glorified drain anyway, hopefully the bit we did will be an improvement.
@walterwhitaker13952 жыл бұрын
Never get tired of watching the old Alice working for her diesel! It really sounds better the more you run it! Do your boys get to operate her yet? That would be a good skill to pass on to them! I'd even like to see Kell operating it LOL!
@mountainblokemoments2 жыл бұрын
Hey Walt, my eldest lad has steered her around a bit, but he hasn’t done much “real” work with the Allis yet. I agree on both the boys getting some experience on the dozer it’s the same old story, finding the time🤷. I reckon Kell would give it a crack but her short legs would come against her😂😂 have to find some pillows to prop her up in the seat. Diesel currently $2.30 a litre. I have one more video of the Allis to put up not sure when I will get another one done at those prices.

Beautiful piece of Allis engineering right there and being operated by someone who knows his machine. In my opinion, Allis Chalmers was the only company that made industrial equipment on par with Caterpillar. International Harvester tried, but in their panic to catch up they abandoned proper research and development. Some of the earlier comments have peeked my curiosity so I'm looking forward to learning how that ole 21 came to be.
