I’d get the cabover running, put a wet kit on it and run it. Those were sweet trucks. This video proves how handy it would have been to have two semi’s rolling both the lowboy and yellow trailer. My grandpa had me driving a 1961 KW with an 8V71 Detroit and double stick 5x4 when I was 14, I still cherish those days. Hopefully you can get one of the boys to get their class A, that was my 18th birthday present from my dad and grandpa. 😀

Hello Clint and company, When you said old, cable machines, I was thinking of 2U, 3T, and 9U. These are kind of new. If I was younger and in better shape, I'd be all over that 6B. All you'd have to do is shove it back on a lowbed and wave goodbye. I'd put a cable unit on the front and hook my LeTourneau LS on the tail and I'd be smiling ear to ear. That old corn binder is like the first real semi that I ever drove. Even if your sons should choose other careers, they are going to have invaluable skills to fall back on. No way would they have to ask, "Do you want fries with that?".
