Taeyangs English is rally good, I thought GD would have the better English but it seemed as though he was struggling a bit and Taeyang like a pro stepped in for him. They might be able to speak English and understand it a little but there are many different English accents and different ways of pronouncing words, some of which I have a hard time understanding and I'm a native English speaker. They may have had difficulty understanding the interviewers accent and so used the translator.
