Hey great vid! How come you wouldn't use a heavy duty flipping hook and a snell knot? From what I thought for pitching plastics, that's the set up most pro's would use? When would you use one or the other? Thanks!

+Justin B it is personal preference; I like the wide gap hooks when using soft plastics

I had a question for you I was gonna buy the extreme 7'4 heavy casting rod will I be able to fish Texas rig worms and creature baits and 1/2 once jigs and up ?
@ExtremeAnglerTV7 жыл бұрын
For sure. The 7'4" model is one of my fav`s for both worms and creature baits and is a deadly jig rod.

New England mostly MA. 32 out and water brutally cold but. No ice. Is it better to throw the rage tail texas rigged or on back of jig slow crawling?
@ExtremeAnglerTV6 жыл бұрын
I would fish the jig as slow as possible or just go with a Rage DB Craw texas rigged
@Malibupower626 жыл бұрын
@@ExtremeAnglerTV got plenty DB's..try that tomorrow. Well appreciated

Karl.. In the show, you approached a flooded hanging tree and it appeared that the bait was pitched in the middle of the lay down. Do you find that "picking apart" a specific structure such as a lay down, hitting it from the outside, middle, and 'trunk" of the tree and then if you don't get a strike on those outside pitches, you re-align your position so that you are able to "dissect" the tree more intently? Or on days like the one you filmed here, you were 'randomly" hitting targets and covering water at the same time? Thank you and We continue to watch and love the show! CH

+shield 307 that location had the darkest shade on it; hence my reason for making my first pitch to that spot on the tree; the back of the tree was very shallow and the end of the tree tapered to deeper water; I wanted to make that first pitch to the highest percentage spot I thought would hold a bass; if I didn`t catch a fish, yes, I would slowly dissect the shallower edges and deeper edges afterwards.
