YOU MIGHT BE REMINDED OF BATANES... BUT THIS ISLAND PROVINCE IN BICOL IS CATANDUANES!
Wow! What a stunning coastline... and what a beautiful lighthouse trek! Bote Lighthouse is found in the Municipality of Bato, and is certainly worth a trek! It takes about 30 minutes to climb up a rocky and slippery trail through a jungle of vegetation. When you get to the top? Incredible 360 degree views of Catanduanes await you!
Catanduanes definitely feels like a massive Batanes. But it is Bicol, it is different, and it has its own diverse and unique beauty!

Catanduanes is certainly diverse and unique with its own coastline beauty and small town charm... but you definitely see a few comparisons with Batanes. It is like a GIANT BATANES! :) But of course... unique and beautiful in its own :)

That’s true! Catanduanes is unbreakable.When I was a kid I had experience the hardest and strongest typhoons in the 80s and 90s. Well maybe because on the other side is the pacific ocean. I even remember when I was kid listeing to our transistor I would get a chinese signal.

I love Tita’s no name carinderia and those silver dishes where she puts the food. From a distance that turle island really looks like a turtle and reminds me of the movie “Never Ending Story” with the big old giant turtle. Did you know bote is tagalog for bottle. What I love about Catanduanes is the many little coves and beaches around the island. It’s really beautiful!😊
