Lady Hawk I have just read that you think this beautiful majestic subadult could be an offspring of the previous occupants of this nest back in 2015 - that would make her/him 3 years old. They breed at 5 or 6 so she/he has another 2 or three years. I was pleased to read Lucy and partner are still alive and have another nest in the area. We do appreciate you and all the work you do for these magnificent creatures.

I am really enjoying this SA at the BB nest. She did a great job on the nestorations in a short time, maybe she’s trying to get extra credit on her Martha Stewart home decorations class or just working on the feni shui of the nest. After Mrs. BB looked around, found she wasn’t trying to steal nestovers and there was more comfort sitting areas maybe it was ok for her to hang around in part 2. Never a dull minute in the BB nest. Thanks LH.

GE Lady Hawk! This is one of those rare beautiful opportunities to see a three year old sub on camera and close-up. S/he takes many selfie opportunities around the 5:30 marks and again at 6:16 and 8:20. Talk about making yourself right at home lol. Nestorations and enjoying someone elses nest is a bold move. Mom comes in and lays down the law at 26:15! Way to go Mom❤. Glad you're keeping up with this LH, very interesting. SEDs🌙❤

The Shadow never saw a nest with so many sticks and just wanted to expand the bowl so Stormy has a comfortable place to rest.

5:31 & 5:42 & 5:54 SA aka Shadow (per LadyHawk) 6:15 stares are the camera to figure out what that is! And comes back down at 6:40 lol he has always been very observant eagle! At such a young age he was able to see the fishing line and know it’s not good and pulls it out of the way. Starts 13:38 - 15:45 stopped : ffwd Starts again 19:09 - 20:40 another area pulls - 21:41 may have broken the line(sounds like) - 22:12 (Jackie chirps?)22:33 stopped pulling and changes to stick moving! :) He made a good guard rails & test out! 25:29 he moves another stick to a better guard rail! 👍 26:19 Jackie? Comes back and He stops at guardrail he made (tested out #2) and leaves - when Jackie snips at him! 😬🌸🌿❄️💚😬 His a good builder! He made a half circle ⭕️ before he left and found some things and pull out for Jackie! He is so fascinated by the camera! ^•^

I like to call this one Shadow. So many names going around that I have seen. lol Shadow clearly likes this nest and is comfortable being there. I am sure that when sub adults first have access to a nest after being on their own for so long - it must be very inviting. A nest will be imprinted in their minds and even if he/she did not hatch here - makes little difference. A nest is a nest!

Yes that is the blue fishing stringer brought in a few 3 months ago along with monofilament fishing line.

Btw, if the SA stopped stepping on the sticks it is trying to get, it could easily get it!!! 🤣 stormy and momma needs to hired him. The nest looks a mess with the sticks all over the place. I dont think stormy is stickman

Shadow is a cute name. However, the nickname is Goldilocks! Lol. I also think Shadow is a female and she sees a future with Stormy. She is pretty just on a fine line of being a Stalker Beauty. 😁

Lady Hawk, ive noticed with E11 and Consair both had darker feathers than their sisters. I wonder if thats one eay to tell them apart! I will wait and see when DC6 and DC7 have their feathers in. In my opinion it looks like DC6 is a female, because its larger than DC7 and the part of their beak under the eye extends towards the back, whereas DC7 is smaller and it only goes to the middle of the eye

Even though this subadult is an aggravation to Mrs BB I love her. I think this eagle is female because of these nestorations. We can see Stormy and his mom don't want her around, but her instinct is bringing her home to where she was born and knew love. Her beak is yellow, her head is nearly white and her tail is in the process of becoming white. How old do you estimate she is Lady Hawk? When do you think she/he might breed? Also thank you very much for these videos Lady Hawk, and thank you very much for the countless hours you put in for these magnificent birds.
