Congratulations to our Lady of the Lake Jackie❤🎊🎉and our Shadow💙! Poor Jackie always has the most difficult labors with her tea kettle whistling and the blood on the egg proves it wasn't easy. I love how she rolls her egg underneath of her and settles down to incubate at the end of the video. Looking forward to egg #2 Saturday! This was a very exciting day! I'm so proud of Jackie! She did such a great job delivering her and Shadow's first egg of the season. @Lady Hawk, I took my furbaby today on a long walk to go visit an eagle nest where the pair has yet to be seen this season. They were both there doing nestorations so I just knew to logon and check Jackie's status...was it a strange coincidence or nature's beauty? Just an awesome day. 🦅❤️

Lady Hawk, you put it so well about her reaction while laying her egg. I noticed her feathers fluffed like a chicken brooding her chicks. Her beak would open to let air out indicating that she was pushing hard. I noticed blood on the egg which I! never noticed while gathering eggs from our chickens My heart went out to her sitting there in the cold.
