It's been awhile, they forgot how fierce Jackie can be! 🙃
Jackie has been away from the nest for over 73 days. Shadow has been away from the nest for over 20 days.
Jackie and Shadow came back today after their little snag gig • Big Bear🦅Plot Twist!🌲B... with lots of sticks!
This is a short video showing Jackie going a bit territorial with the local Ravens. Nesting season is fast approaching!

I think they were playing with each other regarding the new nest. I guess "enticing/flirting" would be better words. I had the unexpected privilege of watching this live! I checked in on the nest as I do every day first thing and low and behold, there she was, right in front of the camera. I sat rooted to my chair, unable to move for the better part of an hour enjoying the two of them. I love Jackie and Shadow ❤ and I'm so happy they're back again to prepare the nest for the next brood. Im so excited to be a part of the whole season this time around! I came in about a 3 weeks before spirit fledged this year. That was so rich and reassuring, to see Jackie defending her nest and Shadow bringing in a great big stick! I was worried about them leaving this nest behind but seems like they are still attached to it. The close ups were stunning, Jackie is so beautiful. Hi ---Many forms of Wildlife Do make wonderful therapy --as here--just by being who they are. We wouldn't want J & S in our kitchen like a Dog or cat, but they still can communicate with us and make us Feel a valuable part of their life--if only from a Distance.

So intense! Jackie is so calm. She let the raven come close because she was alone. Nest defense. When an egg or eaglet is present she gets crazy. I hope she made forceful contact. These ravens are a real danger. I worry for the family. Shadow was there right along. Every year I get more attached to these incredible birds!🌙💙 Thank you for these closeups! 🦅🦅

Marilyn--These are two Seasoned Eagle Parents----having Nested twice before with Raven Neighbors. There is a small danger with Eaglets of any size, but one Parent is always nearby in a tree. Eggs are never left alone.

Very exciting day! I sent the I am Spirit book to a friend who teaches 3rd grade in Pomona, CA for her class. My friend presented the book today and 26 kiddos went wild over the book and then my friend pulled up the Nest Cam site for them and EAGLES! Jackie and Shadow have 27 new fans!

She followed them around the Nest on foot-- making sure they had no place to go but back to where they came from. S makes a brief appearance at end to show his Unneeded support for his Mate.
