Congratulations, Jackie and Shadow!❤️️
Egg1 was laid 1/11 at 15:58, first visible signs of labor were seen at 15:52.
As usual, Jackie's labor was quick, accentuated with soft teakettle sounds.
Jackie picked the perfect day to lay her first egg - nice, warm and sunny. The next storm will arrive to Big Bear on 1/14.
The egg is a bit damp and has a small blood stain on it, which is not uncommon. Additionally, the bowl is quite wet with a thin layer of snow just below the freshly delivered fluff. The egg will likely pick up more stains over time.
Resident male: Shadow (unbanded) since May 2018. Estimated hatch year: 2014
Resident female: Jackie (unbanded) since September 2016. Estimated hatch year: 2012
