Loved meeting you Kinga! So glad we could share dinner and our cabin with you. Good luck on you ride up to Alaska! Andy & Kathy 🤩🥰🤩🥰🤩

The horse and donkey (burro) you saw are not wild. They probably came north across the Rio Grande from the village of Boquillas. The Rio Grande is just south of the gravel River Road. One of the problems Big Bend National Park has in that area are cattle and horses coming across from Mexico to graze in the park. When the problem becomes bad, Park Rangers will round up the livestock and ship them off to auction.

My Dream is to ride a big adventure bike along the Rio Grande through Big Bend National Park. I hope you make it to Boquillas, Mexico at the river crossing. It's about 20 miles down Park Rt 12 to the river crossing. It's the only Port of Entry to Mexico where you take a small boat to cross.

I just looked up Big Bend on google maps and it looks like we have a some wonderful video’s coming up, what a fantastic place, so much to see, from my own curiosity I hope you manage to explore a bit off road, some of these protected parks can be a bit funny about doing your own thing.😊😊😊😊😊😊
@onherbike Жыл бұрын
There's so much off road in the Big Bend and you can legally explore it. That's why this park is so special 😊

I had to laugh when Chillie momentarily stalled when you started it at the park entrance, your reaction was exactly as mine would be after years of owning a fuel injected GS. That’s happened maybe three times in nine years with my current GS and each time I go oh no! 😂😂😂

Its a shame that most people who live in Texas have never been down in the Davis mountains. They think Texas is just Dallas or Houston. It is spiritual down there. Was there once when it snowed, awesome.

My geology class camped at Mariscal mine and climbed all down in it, but that was in the late 1960s. Sorry, you missed the Lost Mine trail up in the basin. It has amazing views all the way to the mountains in Mexico. Also the walk to the Window. If you are lucky, you may see a cougar or a bear.

I like visiting the places you travel.... but your cam mounted on top of your helmut makes me nausous. Have you though of mounting it on your chin piece of your helmut?

I found the view from the chin mount boring, it's too low, it doesn't give the perspective of the road and you can only see my windscreen.

@@onherbike I think it’s that the visor is visible on the bottom edge of the frame , perhaps if the camera was moved forward to uninclude the visor.

Kinga, you should know Americans don't care about driving without a helmet, but there's nothing that can break either.. widespread conservative thinking. personally, I just don't understand them. with the prices of health insurance You stay in the USA.. It doesn't happen to me. After all, it only happens to the others...
