Remove the Volume Knob, place a correctly sized Oring between Knob & Radio to make the knob less loose.

It doesn't make sense but I want one so bad lol,... Cheapest I found one today is USD$37.28 with free shipping for the radio, antenna & charge cable only. I've seen them test at just under 8 watts and I already have a Baofeng 10 watt (unlocked) Ham Radio for $28 but I still want one.

I was sold on one because of the large battery.

@@NukaVaultReadiness I was also excited with the large clear screen & big keys on the keypad :)

are there any downloadable programs to get frequencies loaded up as the little cd it came with doesnt work and only been able to kind of bring it to factory zero
@NukaVaultReadinessАй бұрын
Have you used CHIRP? Are you speaking of a programming software?
@jayvelez1269Ай бұрын
@ I have chirp and yea a software because I can’t run the disk it came with and can’t find frequncies list to input
@jayvelez1269Ай бұрын
@ yes and I can’t find any for my area as I am new to this and I want to have a couple of channels I can use

Trying using RepeaterBook! You will have to manually put in the frequencies, but it is a very helpful resource for finding repeaters in your area or near you. www.repeaterbook.com/index.php/en-us/

Uv25 is much better. Has a scrambler, frequency counter, and usb charging built in.

The charging on this is what disappointed me the most, it needs an AC/DC converter brick for the wall.

Very interesting Like the color Be interesting to see how well it holds to hard use.

I plan to use it outdoors quite often. Let's see how long it lasts!

For the price of another battery you can buy another radio and it is not IP rated at all.
@NukaVaultReadinessАй бұрын
Agreed, you can get another radio for that price. And you are correct, I have found conflicting information regarding it's IP rating. At this point I think most, not all, Baofengs have no IP rating whatsoever. I think my UV-9R Pro is my only "true" IP rated radio I have.

8:50 Honestly You need an ABBREE! Forget Nagoya they are as crap as the one the AR152 comes with. 9:20 Just a thought, You can not use a UV-5R with gloves on.
@NukaVaultReadiness3 ай бұрын
I agree. Personally, I have like 4 Abbree antennas and I prefer them over the Nagoyas. Nagoyas are like the last resort, next to the rubber duck.
