I've said this before and I'll say it again. There's nothing like an old-school blower,it gets the blood going👍
@albertgaspar627 Жыл бұрын
respectfully, while it shouts "HP" better than a stroker setup...and the whine of air trapped between belt and gear plus the surge at idle is ear candy....it eats torque off the crank (since torque is spinning motion) and wears out its seals. there is something better than a blower, and it's a turbo. technically a "blower", except operated differently. I've had older setups that lacked "low end" like centrifugal blowers, but they can be set up for low RPM boost as well.
@bodine2537 Жыл бұрын
@@albertgaspar627 turbo don’t look as cool sticking out the hood as old school screw blower does ,if turbo’s really did make more power than screw blowers, I have zero doubt NHRA would’ve been using them long before now, since literally all of them still use blowers though I have to say blower is king of torque especially at 1/4 mile at a time🤙🏼
@Procharmo Жыл бұрын
A giant cowl hood and a hole in the front grill is better than turbo or roots blowers. Louder, more whistle , torque and power than either roots or turbo on the street. All no prep racers and Radial Promods are using crank driven Prochargers. I'd have to say they are king if you want to modulate traction and have the same or more top end power as a screw on the street. Check out my Twin Procharged Camaro or Big Red (when its running the Procharger) for proof!
