Yea I hear u on the pipe pricing .if they drop the price they would sell more and really 40 mph out of the box with just one home free mod is plenty enough speed for me and if I wanted more speed I would just drop to a 32 from the 44

I whole-heartedly agree with the, "50mph on a bike" comment, I haven't even tested my bike to absolute max speed just because one, I don't wanna die and two, I just don't need that much speed from my bike. To get a nice cruising speed of 30-35 without over-taxing the engine and have that be consistent and dependable, well shoot that's absolutely great for me!

Anything over 40mph is pretty terrifying without a full suspension. I don't think I'd go much faster than that unless it was just a short stretch.

I bought both of these parts and I love them. The cilender was crazy bad but has no scratches in the bore. The carb was very responsive, I need to tune it tho because my bike that it was on had a ported cilender and intake so it was breathing good. Put a new one on with no porting and it runs good but it’s very boggy. Must be to rich. I will just adjust the needle one notch.

Drilling carb jets is not ideal. Without proper chamfering the fuel is intruded to a lot of turbulence. I would just buy the jets

Regular NT carburetor, modified needle , jet, ported & matched with a golf ball dimpled intake With a velocity stack & slightly smashed green foam filter... glued the cap & manifold with orange Rtv. U can’t even see the throttle cable By the carburetor because it’s plumbed through the top tube. Removed choke & to prime the bike I hold down the float button a couple of seconds than give a couple of pumps to make fuel spill into the intake. I have a boost bottle but I’m trying to figure a way to make a large diameter hose & bigger Inside diameter fittings because the way it came with tiny holes wouldn’t affect performance. One hose going to the top bend in the manifold & the other aiming down the port at the piston.

Hey LA, for what ever reason my JLR BoFeng carberater will not hold onto the engine? I slid the carb on and tightened down the clamp bolt but it’s as if the port is two big and the metal is too thick that no matter how tight I get the clamp it will not grip onto the intake good enough to hold on, it’s crazy I have no idea why mine is like this, I haven't heard of anyone else having this issue. This was the carb that came with my Zeda 80 Firestorm kit.

Hey man, i just gt two 50cc engine kist and they came with those same carbs. I only used one kit and using one of the carbs. It seems okay thus far, but i am in the break in period, so havent tried to open it up really. Thanks for the vid and ride safe. I plan on a few km run in a day or two. My carb worked like crap, til i placed the clip to the second from the top slot, to lean it out. Hope it isnt too lean, but the next slot down it four strokes bad.

Have build about 3 of this kit first one was great few other problems along the way .roke mistakes using wrong oil even when it label it for two stroke.. now I use a good oil that I know is meant for the bike .my real problem is losing power after a month or two along the line finding out I had a big score in my chamber ..with my research I find out i either don’t warm it up enough or which I think sounds about right .since I stop and start it most times due taking trains along my journey.can you tell me how you Maintain yours .I have a score along the intake and along the side as well.

@LAHover
@LAHover 3 жыл бұрын
No dedicated video. No noticeable increase in speed, but both motors I used it on started easier, idled better, had better throttle response, and all around ran smoother. Not that you can't get that with an NT carb. I just think these have a better stock tune and fewer air leaks.

Hello Señor LA Hover & Greetings from the Taco City: San Antonio, TX. I want to buy a JRL Carb like the one you’re using in this video. I too have a yd100 and would like to know where I can get one. I searched on Amazon for one but I’m not sure if I’m finding the right one because from what I see, there’s only a carb for 49/60/80cc. This may a stupid question but sometimes I need to be reminded how dumb I am. Haha. Please help with info whenever you get a chance. Thx again.

What’s the best carburetor for a 49cc four stroke motor ? Performance wise ?

My old bike ran beautifully with a stock NT carburetor but I wanted to upgrade to the bofang I got the bofang and it runs good it just four strokes a lot in the high end. I run 32:1 and I was thinking it had something to do with the jetting considering the stock jetting for the bofang is .70 and for the NT is .65 should I re jet the bofang?

Hello, I just put one of those carbs on my bike. I like the carb but if I go over 3/4 throttle it bogs out do you know what size jet comes with it, and what size jet did you ultimately use? Thanks☺️
@LAHover
@LAHover 2 жыл бұрын
I found the stock jet to be perfect for my stock 66/80cc motors. I had to drill out the jet to 76 for my big more kit. Make sure you don't have any air leaks, and clean out the jet. If she still bogs try a 76. Stock is probably a 70-72.
@KB_Joys
@KB_Joys 2 жыл бұрын
@@LAHover I thought I might need a bigger jet, so the say it's a size 70 stock, but I also read that if you can put a little choke on and it runs better, then you need to upjet, and if you take off the air cleaner then you need to down jet 🤔 I took off the air cleaner and I was able to go faster. I have my needle on the very top position and it seems like I get a slight bog every now and then, but I've never been as fast as I have on this bike and motor as of yet, ☺️ I used to be an avid Dellorto guy, but I had a bad experience with a seller and they won't make it right. Anyways I've found they have serious air leak problems, so I'm done. I'm really digging the bofang I just need to tinker a little more and I should be happy. Oh btw I have a CDH bottom end, a 49mm iron sleeve big bore, and a casting head. I'd say I need a 68 jet if they come stick with a 70. A 68 is also what my bike liked with the Dellorto, lol. Too bad I can't swap jets, as I have 2 68's 🤷

Kinda off subject but....Who prefers kill switch VS no kill switch (pro & cons) and thumb throttle VS twist grip...Many say the kill switch fries your ignition system faster.... I also see these cheap under $20 pit bike CDI ignition systems on Ebay & Amazon that look much better than the stock CDI .I'm wondering if they can be wired up & would work better-longer life/stronger spark... I dunno if the 2 stroke kits use an AC or DC voltage CDI coil ....Anyways here's a link if it ti'll post- www.ebay.com/itm/184630278047 there are a few different types for cheap.
