so many its hard to list. Prop, wing, gear, brakes, tires, seats, extended baggage, glass panel, vgs,speed fairings. Primarily the mt prop and giant wing extensions (bigger than normal extentions). Basically make it perform like my maule only it cruises at 155 kts. its sweet.

Hi BA! Love your vids and the Maule... You say your buddies 185 cruises at 155KIAS, wondering what the Maule M7-235 cruises at?

I"m pretty sure that was a good landing. as pilots our greatest critics are often ourselves.

I think the ground shape had more to do with that than the flare, looked good.

Pretty good just didn't plant the tail hard on touchdown. Elevator was sort of wishy washy in the middle doing the pogo and then when you put the yoke in your lap she stayed put immediately.

@pylon500 Indeed. It was a combination of both really. picked a poor spot and flared a little too high

That's nothing. My father cut the power when we were still 10 feet off of the ground at night, and his 185 dropped like a stone. The 2 bladed seaplane propeller cut 1 inch deep notches into the grass runway at about 1 inch apart and the landing gear inverted the sheet metal cowling at the fuselage. And he cut 2 sets of propeller notches into that runway at 7000 feet and heavily loaded, before bringing it to a stop in a rock garden. Lord Flat USFS airstrip, Oregon.

@docjimful I am going with cubonaut's observation...total gravitational flux.

Always feels worse from inside, my good friend(instructor) caught my cause of this as a small relaxation on full up elevator.

It's not a bounce unless your prop slices through the sod when your gear springs out. The way to stop that first bounce is come in with your right hand on the flaps, instead of the throttle. At the first sign of wheel contact, you dump all of the flaps and you won't be playing the bouncing game.

Still looked like a good landing to me. He could use the plane again right afterwards !!

Mercy, I thought it was going to be a real bounce. That was just low tire air pressure.

Killer plane. I'm not sure that's a bounce though, more like a skip.

Your bounce has less bounce to the ounce...not a real bounce.
