Big Bowl Magnolia Part II - the Finish

This is a blank I did 4 months back off a cutting I got off my buddy Hambone. My daughter ask me to make a bowl for some new furniture she had gotten. She asked for a bowl she could paint the outside. I gave her this for her birthday. She said I cant paint that. LOL Love the magnolia wood, with its chocolate river. I was pleasantly surprised at the black starbond medium CA I used to fill the cracks. I have used some other less pricey CA, but Starbond is head and shoulders above. I will probably turn her another bowl to paint. Fun project the biggest bowl I have turned at the moment. Love the lathe too. What a joy to turn on.
