The restaurant we asked to photograph this time is Tatenomaru Shokudo in Akita City.
The restaurant is said to be the birthplace of horumon-ni (hormone stew), which has now become a staple menu item in Akita.
The sweet, slow-cooked horumon made by the powerful and always cheerful proprietress is fluffy, tender, delicious, and addictive.
In fact, when I go to Akita, I go to this restaurant because I want to eat there.
By the way, it is hard to tell from the video, but even the regular size rice comes out quite a lot.
I myself usually eat about two bowls of rice for a meal, but even so, it is more than I can eat.
And the "large bowl of rice" is not an exaggeration; it is a tremendous amount of rice, so unless you are a big eater, you should not order it....
But the rice here is really good, and I can eat quite a bit of it (laughs).
