A Lowe’s here had the biggest hanging baskets of Hoya Rope for $20. I’m talking like a 10” basket with at least a foot of growth hanging down

The price on those Urban Jungle/Living Trends nicer pots is located on the back of the folded tag, lower third of the text. The print is very small and doesn't stand out, but once you know where to find it, you can count on it being in the same place from plant to plant.

The QR Code links you to a general listing of all of Live Trends Plants which is aggravating. Noticed that plants are increasingly listed as Assorted Foliage or Home Decor🤔🪴☹️

Thanks for clarifying @elizabethkern4887! I also saw that plant at Lowe’s but, in MD. However, the plant tag only said “Alpina”! I ended up walking away frustrated. 😆

The live trends plant you were looking for the price is on that back of that black ticket. It read $24.98 I believe. They’ve been having some really nice pots lately 😊 The plant you liked was a Red Ruben ginger

It’s interesting watching this video because the Lowe’s in Canada where I live usually have a limited selection of plants, and Home Depot usually have a better selection of plants, where in this video it’s the opposite. Side note: I HATE artificial Colors on plants, especially orchids. To me it’s almost sac religious…😂

Thanks Drea! I'm in Belgium so it's always interesting to see what's available (and the prices) in big box stores across the pond! I've had a Pilea "Moon Valley" (the one you saw at Lowe's) for about a year now and it's the easiest, most rewarding Pilea I've ever had! It's wonderfully weird (I like weird plants) and it's easy going too. Droops when it's dry, puts out new growth regularly even through the winter, just an easy, happy plant for me, even though it's not in the best light and it regularly gets a blast of cold winter air when I let my dog out... and in... and out... and back in... 😬 It might not be rare or fancy, but it makes me smile every time I look at it! I have to admit that I've bought a few plants I was lukewarm about simply because the cover pot was gorgeous and the price was right. I've been surprised a few times by some of those plants becoming a beautiful addition to my indoor space. If I was not keen on the plant a few months later, I simply gave it away and enjoyed the pot! Painted succulents... 🤮🤮🤮

Rhaphidophora Hayi was always the standard Costa Farms Trending Tropicals price which was a few dollars less a few years ago when I bought one. My local plant group did a post asking what was your biggest plant purchase regret that you thought you had to have. The Hayi was at the top of the list! 😂 I must admit that I couldn’t be bothered to find a warm spot for mine last winter so I left it outside and it slowly perished.

Ok so you issued all the prices on the tags in very, very small print. I promise there are on there, you were expecting to see the white tag like some the other. Also with Lowe’s, all the same pots have a same prices no matter what plant is in there. Home Depot increased the prices a few weeks ago. I was in a store when a distributor was in blacking out the prices. The cashier gave me the old price. Walmart to which I’m not a shopper, except for plants and plant supplies (reasonable pots), had a slew of Alocasia’s; Cuprea, Pink Dragon, Nebula, Jacklyn, Polly and a couple of others. As well as Philo Ring of Fire, Tordum and a few very bright pink PPP. Tfs

Vigaro is Costa farms it says on bottom of label. In my area I find HD to have better plants and prices mainly the proven winners :)

It absolutely annoys me that Lowe’s Living Trends and Urban Jungle plant tags 🏷️ never identifies the exact species name. They always attach a QR code inside the plant tag, as if it’s going to direct you to more exclusive content but, instead it takes you to their homepage 🤷🏽‍♀️. However, I must admit, they always have them visually aesthetic looking cache pots.

@@AlohaPlantLife I love it. The indoor garden area is only tiny, but I’m still incredibly happy and also love it cuz we got a new plant aisle dedicated to dogs and cats. I’m also that close that I walk my Labrador there and it’s under 3 km to walk home again

Interesting how these stores carry different things in different areas. In Home Depot yesterday I saw a beautiful Florida for $30. Be still my heart I have no place for a plant that size even though it's on my wish list. Unless it could take less light? I bought a 4 inch hanging nursery pot stuffed with string of raindrops with 4 to 7 inch stems for $8. They had a number of string of plants there. Didn't see those on your video. Hope I don't kill it like I did my pearls last summer. Thank you for your comment about looking for a cage on algeonema. I got one with thin leaves, some yellow, on the clearance rack at Lowes. Wick and grow. It's drenched and not drying out so I'm repotting today. I'll look for a cage and put it in a well drained pot. I'd love your thoughts on wick and grow pots. I almost dread buying plants in those because I think when they hose water they drench the plant and also fill the cache pot. I worry about buying these even on clearance.

There is an app for your phone called picture this. I use the hell out of it. About 97% correct. Use it for house plants and foraging.

I have to say that I love how you show the plants without touching them too much, keeping them neat. Other youtubers are always touching all the plants, a bit aggressively, no regards about damaging plants for the other buyers, and it makes me mad. And Lowe's is very disappointing in my opinion, no information about the plants, sometimes no price as well, and sometimes overpriced. I don't like it at all. I'm glad you call them up on that.

That Pilea "Moon Valley" was supposed to be a Wick and Grow type, but where was the white pot that is was supposed to go in? I could see the wick under that brown nursery pot. Hope nobody bought that one, at least not before they got the white pot to go with it.

Well, now that I think about it, that Moon Valley was in a smaller pot. It probably got taken out of the Wick & Grow TRAY of plants. Someone must have thoughtlessly left it there, away from its water source. People. . .
