Grey works better than aluminium because those parts are steel. Nice weathering job.

Thank you for this video i am about to start this kit and it is kind of a gift for my brother in law whos dad passed away a couple months ago. His dad had this kit on his shelf and never started it so i took it to do it and mount on a plinth with a plaque with his dads name on it.. this is my first train kit and am a bit intimidated my it and your video is a massive help so thank you.. excellent work by the way

Unimpressive? I think for what one gets for around $35.00 it's very impressive. High end, no. but the kit leaves itself open to lots of refinements if you want to invest some time in the project.
