If I recall correctly, 4005 was also the only Big Boy to burn oil during its career with Union Pacific.

I've read about this..apparently 4005 came off the tracks and layed on it's side..the force of the wreck crushed the cab killing the driver and fireman...the brakeman died later from his injuries..but 4005 was repaired and put back in service where it continued to run until the late 50's..may the crew rest in peace..at least 4014 os continuing the legacy of the other Big Boy's..
