This reminds me of the strawberry pie served years ago in Walgreen's restaurants (yes they had restaurants back in the day). It was heavenly and I'm going to try this recipe right away! Thanks!! :D

haven't had that since the 70s. they also had a great banana cream pie.

Oh wow, Big Boy was my 2nd job that I worked at, right behind working at Walgreens which was my 1st job at 16yrs old. But yeah, I remember serving this pie. They actually called it Mile high Strawberry pie. Even with my discount, I don't think I've ever tried a piece. Mostly ate their cheesecakes, which were not made in house.
