YES how awesome was that? I wish they had done a throwback intro for the actual show to celebrate the 20th season. All we got was a quick shot of past players in the crowd for the premiere and a few guest hosts (Most of whom show up like every season anyway i.e. Rachel and Jeff). Wish they had done more to celebrate this milestone.

I think the hacker twist ruined the season. The power struggle was over once Kaycee won hacker. Without that twist I think Hive would’ve had a fighting chance. Fesse evicting Scottie was hard to watch, but the season was already going downhill by that point. This would’ve been a great season if the last few weeks were as unpredictable as the first half.

It was exactly like I feared- tyler didn’t get enough time to really hammer home that he was the puppet master of the season-and as such the jury didn’t know. all they saw was kaycee winning comps and talking to everyone and that’s what they voted for. They didn’t know that tyler orchestrated every eviction from the get go and used Scottie, JC, and Sam as pawns in his game. It just frustrates me as a fan of the game that my favorite game style-shocking, jaw dropping strategic moves-doesn’t win anymore. Paul, Dan, and Tyler have all been robbed from this now, and while I understood Josh’s win because Paul was literally the worst human being ever, Dan and Tyler 100% deserved to win, and Kaycee and Ian are also deserving winners but not against who they were up against.

I’d recommend watching Peridiam’s Best 3 Seasons for Big Brother Beginners video. After having a few modern BB seasons under your belt I’d definitely recommend watching seasons 2-7. TOTALLY worth watching.

I’ve been watching this show since season 1 and this was the best season in a decade. Split house, split votes, blindsides, people playing the game and not just trying to get Instagram followers, and a great final 2. On top of that the DR’s by and large felt way more authentic this season than in the last several years where they feel scripted and it’s just people screaming. People may say a few of those weeks were “boring” but to me they weren’t, it was the stronger players taking out the weaker players, thus assuring one of them won. That’s just good gameplay. This season felt like old school Big Brother, which is the highest compliment I can give any season.

BB12 was bad. I give credit to the brigade for their dominance, but the rest of the gameplay was terrible, and worse, non-existent. Brendon and Rachel just isolated themselves, Kathy brought nothing to the game other than sucking at comps, Ragan and Britney had good DR’s but they didn't really play the game, and the prejury was forgettable. On top of that the saboteur twist and diamond veto were both flops, and I hated whenever they used Pandora’s box, aka the producers can do whatever they want. You could tell the producers were so desperate for entertaining TV that they brought Rachel back for a day just so she’d fight with someone. The season as a whole was dull, and while there have been much worse seasons since (BB15, BB16, BB18, BB19) it’s still one of the most boring seasons after BB1 and BB16, for me.

There’s no such thing as an organic season after BB2. Every season since had twists and gimmicks that affected the outcome of the game. BB3 - introduced the veto, brought a player back in, golden veto at final 5 BB4- exes, first time golden veto was competed for every week, first time jury was sequestered BB5 - twin twist, first time only six people played for the veto, first season to have a double eviction week BB6 - people playing with a secret partner, brought a player back in BB7 - first time veto players were picked randomly, coup de tat (wasn’t used but was still there), first season to have a double eviction take place in one night BB8 - America’s player, almost half the house had a previous relationship with someone else there BB9 - 2 groups of people knew each other, playing in pairs, bringing a player back in, that ridiculous guinea pig answer during the final 4 HOH BB10 - America’s player for a week, letting a player have private one on one time with a jury member BB11 - returning player, playing in groups, the coup de tat, Pandora’s box BB12 - saboteur twist, Pandora’s box, diamond veto BB13 - returning players, golden keys, playing in pairs, Pandora’s box, bringing a player back in BB14 - coach’s twist, the reset week bringing the coaches into the game, two vetos in one week, Pandora’s box BB15 - MVP twist, jury battle back BB16 - battle of the block, reset week, jury battle back, Team America BB17 - battle of the block, twin twist, jury battle back BB18 - returning players, playing in groups, two battle backs, care packages, round trip ticket BBOTT - returning player, America’s nominee, America’s vote, care packages, final 4 elimination comp, America picking the winner BB19 - returning player, den of temptation, battle back, temptation competition, tree of temptation Celebrity BB - gift bag twist, VIP veto, final 4 instant eviction, over half the jury got to go home and watch the DR’s

To be honest, when dealing with human emotions anything is possible. We may believe someone played a masterful game in our eyes, but not everybody thinks the same way. You may think a given player played a great game and deserves the win. But you can grantee that there will be 10 other people who disagree with you for whatever reasons. All the winners of BB or whatever game earned their wins. When it comes down to subjective opinion of who should've won is just that an opinion. And to be completely honest, most people who feel someone else should have won are most likely defending the game play of their favorite player.

I agree with u about the end of big brother always being boring, long, and the totally rushed. Survivor's finale nights are 3 hrs. long, why can't we get that same ending? Some people barely get asked a question, they used to show clips and reveal secret, now we get an engagement that no one asked to see. Not to mention, I think after we get the final three or two, maybe they should move the jury back in for a couple days. Let some of the grievances air. It would help some of those people who did a lot dirt, make some mends, and it would be great tv.

A BB season definitely worth your time. The blindsides were everywhere but creative and not continuously hey this is what we're gonna do starting now. Brett's backdoor wasn't planned from the start but more like the middle of that week. Tyler has, 100% (I believe) the best persuasion method and still loyal. Kaycee didn't get a lot of screen time to begin with but when it mattered most she stepped it up! Everyone else was enjoyable to watch. From Drama to comedy you found everything in this cast

Alex VonBerg the only reason they had a battle back this season was cause kaitlyn failed the puzzle. the hacker twist this season was unnessacary as well. i wish they would just have a season of game play and nothing more. no twists or powers etc...

This is definitely in my top 5 Big Brother seasons. They came to play and I love that. I love that we didn't really have any vote with the house weeks. I love that we had a top 4 that were NOT floaters. I love that the final 2 were good people and they weren't mean spirited in their game play and yet still, their game play was strategic and smart. It was just a stellar season and I hope that we have more seasons just like it.

I actually enjoyed the season, mainly because there were several people in the house who I really liked and they were doing very well (Kaycee, Tyler, Sam). It was also in some ways fun and amusing to see how much the Foutte side was just always chasing it's own tail.

I agree that the prejury was probably the best we have ever had, except Rachel’s eviction because she had the biggest personality and was the funniest out of every remaining Houseguest and after she left it felt like an energy had been squashed. I didn’t like the post jury much at all though, there were just absolutely no power shifts and it was extremely predictable, it semi started regaining momentum at the second half of the double eviction. Overall I would rather this season either a 6 or 6.5, very solid overall

The back and forth evictions even with FOUTTE not knowing about Level Six is what kept things going. This season ended when the Hacker twist sent Rockstar home instead of any member (probably Kaycee) of Level Six. It sucks because it really feels like if that four could have been whittled down to any three of them, I feel like the craziness would have continued as opposed to Level Six taking a stranglehold of the endgame.

I thought this was the best season in a long while. I still don't like the one side of the house having all the control crap but I enjoyed the personalities this season. Better than last season no doubt! I'm totally fine with Kaycee winning the season. She had a great social & kicked it into high gear at the right time. Tyler started out promising but his showmance with Angela and lack of jury mang. when jury started killed him. Again, B grade for the season. Much improved season.

This season was my favorite, it brought so much content. I think it gave us the greatest alliance in the history and possibly the dumbest. I thought Tyler deserved the win, but Kaycee is a worthy winner as well. This season just gave us so much and reminded me why I fell in love with the game in the first place. I recommend rewatching Rachel’s eviction interview to highlight a major problem of this season. Very few of the cast can make good television on their own. That includes Tyler and Kaycee. This lead to a series of dry and uneven diary room content and several awkward live shows minus the double eviction, but that had its own flaws. What made this season good was that everybody contributed. Steve had his moments on and off the show, Swaggy dominated headlines. Two of the shows crap app winners became stars of the post jury, and characters that seemed like stereotypical floaters who wouldn’t shine on TV, genuinely shocked me and went on to make incredibly entertaining television moments. That being JC, Haleigh, and Kaycee. And the coasters, Sam in particular, were standout cast as well. So many recent seasons of Big Brother have been plagued by purple edits and with everyone contributing to S20 it really showed but the strong group devolved into a power skewed top 8 that I found almost unwatchable. I call this the worst good season of Big Brother.

I'm just waiting for Season 21 cast announcements to come out and we get a random persons name and we are all like wow that's cool. Then Peridiam makes a cast video saying that said random person is his prediction for the winner of the season and then for some reason we don't get any more videos from him for a while. The season starts and we get that random persons character intro with them saying that they are a youtube big brother super fan named Peridiam and then this channel's viewers lose our shit!!! yesss finally your season review is here, and it didn't disappoint :) my thoughts: one of the nicest casts ever, which really goes a long way for me in terms of watchability, and i'd argue that the mid-game being so dominant was in its own way unexpected after the pre-jury was so back and forth--it gave the season almost a tragic feeling (in the shakespearean way), in that the dominance could have been prevented (since we had some power shifts at the beginning), but FOUTTE/the hive participated in their own downfall, which made level 6's ascendance that much more awe-worthy. compared to something like bb16, where the denonators really never had any competition, and bb17, where the goblins never self-destructed, they just lost when it counted, this season felt epic in that while it was happening, it wasn't clear how it was going to play out, but looking back, it's like there was only ever one way it was going to end. and i find that pretty cool :)

He wasn’t robbed, his poor jury management is what lost him the game. He specifically said he didn’t need Bayleigh’s jury vote....and look what it got him. Kaycee was kind and reasonable to everyone and had friends in jury from the other side. He allowed too many people to leave with a bad taste in their mouth. Jury management is a part of the game, and it’s what lost home 500k

He told JC that he didn't need Bay's vote, it didn't get back to her so that little myth can be dispelled. Everyone he broke a F2 with voted for him minus Sam so saying he had bad jury management is laughable, the only juror I can see being managed poorly was Scottie. He only lost the game because he got extremely unlucky and to some degree unwilling to win the F4 veto.

Mik Bik the winner of the game is determined by a JURY. you don’t deserve to win the game if you haven’t thought about how the jury is going to react to how you played and the moves you made. it’s the hardest and most forgotten about part of big brother

I know I've seen someone say it before, but I think the battle back needs the winner to have a week of immunity or something. It was all too predictable for Scottie to go out unanimously again with the house reasoning that they already put him out once. There was little to no time for him to make any moves to further his game, and even he knew he was going right back up. That's a problem. I think predictability was a big issue this season post jury.

I mean the main issue is that if the battle back champ doesn't win safety the following week they're probably gone. In this season if Scottie had safety it would just have been Hayleigh booted and then him next. Usually there is an alliance that has control of the game by the time you have a single entity return to the game (BB15, BB16, BB17, BB19, BB20). In BB18 the pre-jury battle back got us back Victor and he stayed for a couple of weeks before getting assblasted to Jury, and then when he won the jury battle back he was basically just a meat shield for Paul. It is incredibly rare for a returning evicted houseguest to get deep even if they aren't thrown through a revolving door. It needs to be scrapped altogether. The seasons are simply too long nowadays simply because production wants to have more shows. If there was no battle back this game would have lasted 92 days, which is still a LOT of time. I'd like to know if the momentum could have kept up without the battle back basically stalling us for a week.

That is not remotely true. JC, Sam, and almost all of Level 6 were morons too. JC, Sam, Brett, Angela, Kaycee all just blindly stuck to their original alliance without ever even questioning their position within the alliance and just mindlessly assuming that Tyler would take them to the final 2 and that everything would magically work out. Smart players constantly assess their position in an alliance and then look to flip it/partner up with the leftovers of the other side.

I'd probably rate it as a 9/10. I do think the only thing it really lacked was a bit more of a pushback against Level 6 in the back half, but considering FOUTTE/The Hive's sheer incompetence, I can't really dock the season too much for that because it made for great entertainment. The worst thing about it was, as you say, the rushed finale. I would've personally compressed the final HOH comps and the F3 eviction into the first episode of the week, then have the entire finale be centered around the jury questioning. It might seem boring on paper to have an entire episode be devoted to Q&As, but people are going to be tuning in regardless. Give your finalists enough time to pitch their cases, and let the tension build. (Also, no proposals.)

I was introduced to Big Brother as a whole during the episode when Kaycee won the hacker comp. I have already watched BB Seasons 2, 6, 7, 16, 17, 18, and 20. Honestly I think we should have either another allstars or bring some players back like a few seasons ago. Tyler is arguably the best BB player ever, he played an almost perfect game, both physically and mentally, he used his alliances up until he either didn't need them or they wasn't loyal

I'd love to see a video recapping close votes. The 5-4s and the 4-3s. Paul, Tyler, Porsche, *cough* GARY *cough* , just people who have lost by one vote and the feeling of the season, ect beforehand. Was it justified, did they deserve to win more than the winner, what could have been changed to get that one extra vote, ect. It would be interesting to look back on those close votes, definitely a great topic for a BB video.

I'm so thankful I had livefeeds for pre-jury. It was EPIC. I completely agree with you. Great season overall. Might just be in the Top 5 or would've been if not for the rushed finale and predictable second-half. But even so....so good. I was always hooked.
