@@antherstranger2456 Hi people over the sea. I said "My brain stopped thinking for a moment when I saw combination of 'Big Brother' and 'Utattemita' in notifications". Because I never thought that people could sing "Big Brother". Sorry, my english is poor.

This sounds dystopian to the point where you can hear their actions through the vocals.

@Angelina Carranza As far as I'm concerned, the artist is 100% vocaloid. I've actually been wondering that myself.
@laggingthyme3 жыл бұрын
@Angelina Carranza the singer in this video is an actual human with auto-tune, the English title says "Big Brother Cover" but the Japanese title is much more specific, which it says "Big Brother 歌ってみた". 歌ってみた reads as "uttatemita" which is a common phrase among cover singers in the Japanese community, to specify that the song is covered by an actual human singer for more context, 歌ってみた means "tried to sing"

@Angelina Carranza To my knowledge there is no Vocaloid currently that sounds like this.
Lyrics in English. On streets electric shocks from stun guns shoot the shadows of crowds People go jeeringly and attempts succeed behind a veil Listen to Him whispering "this is for the good" behind shadows The invisible Brother suggestively pursue you Form a line, you a machine of obedience Enjoy yourself and now you should know thoughtfulness is guilt In nightscape everywhere the voices of hatred are cried with ecstasy They stomp around jeeringly to intercept deviant people Listen to Him repeating "this is for the good" by the windows The invisible Brother is watching you like a parent Stomp around, you a machine of good Repeat out and now you should know thoughtfulness is guilt Jeeringly people, people, people's eyes pursue you Jeeringly people, people, people's eyes watch you Jeeringly people, people, people's eyes pursue Jeeringly people, people, people's eyes watch you Jeeringly people, people, people's eyes pursue you Cruelly showing tomorrow is not for you It covers every corner on the earth and crush the dream for escape Listen to Him repeating "this for the good" in front of you The invisible Brother is suggestively watching you Stand in line, you a servant of obedience Resign yourself now you should know thoughtfulness is guilt Jeeringly people, people, people's eyes pursue you Jeeringly people, people, people's eyes watch you Jeeringly people, people, people's eyes pursue Jeeringly people, people, people's eyes watch you Jeeringly people, people, people's eyes pursue you

So this song is about big brother playing game?
@Treviisolion5 жыл бұрын
Rina Munawari not certain if you’re joking or actually serious, but it sounds like it’s about the concept of “Big Brother” which is the name for societies and governments which eliminate privacy, generally supposedly for the sake of society, but often in reality to help keep the people in control in control, by monitoring everyone and crushing anybody who shows the slightest bit of deviancy. Nowadays the term is generally used for whenever a government oversteps its bounds.

No time for creative names just for games the term “Big Brother” in this context comes from the book 1984, but Terrorism has led to the rise of “Big Brother” like agencies which actually do have societal safety as their goal. A lot of modern countries have this to some extant, but the United States is particularly notable for just how far the NSA was/is willing to go to protect the US from terrorism and foreign threats, even willing to basically violate the US Constitution, which we in the US hold almost sacred at times, especially the first 10 amendments which include some of the most major limitations on governments in the US (state and national). Also a guy named Edward Snowden basically threw the door wide open on what they were doing and leaked and ton of information then ran away to Russia where he’s still in hiding, though he still has an online presence, and has given some in-person interviews. So the US is more notable because we do know how far the NSA has gone, while for other countries one can often only speculate. As a note, China is much closer to the traditional and original view of “Big Brother” as they use a lot of techniques to keep their citizens in line, and collect a lot of data on their citizens individually to make certain each individual is living their lives as model Chinese citizens, rewarding those that do, and punishing those that don’t. It’s not as bad as what Orwell (author of 1984 and origin of the term Orwellian meaning dystopian in a way that resembles the society depicted in 1984) showed in his book, but it does have consequences and saying whatever you like on the Internet can have more consequences there than just getting banned from the site you overstayed your welcome.
