I liked it because it showed how much he actually does care about Derrick and their friendship is real. He was so happy for him and basically knew going in that he was gonna get 2nd place but he'd rather Derrick win it over somebody else. That said, Derrick was so good it's entirely possible (and something I'd definitely believe) that he somehow convinced Cody he'd get more jury votes. It worked out well. Cody was after modeling and LA opportunities more than Derrick was anyway, it's all about giving the money (1st place) to someone who is actually worthy and who worked hard for that money for his family. IMO, Derrick was off the charts in game play (wasn't he not ever put on the block/nominated and ALSO waited until AFTER jury voted to disclose his occupation. I remember so clearly, my bro and I lost our minds watching the finale that season, sigh. That said, let's also not forget his competition wasn't that hard to beat, all things considered. 🤷‍♀️😂 "YOU BET YOUR ASS, JOCASTA!" 👍❤️
