Mr. Ranganath, Govt did not decide to disqualify him. As per Supreme Court verdict , any politician who get convicted for 2 years get immediately disqualified from MP or MLA seat... Irony is, when Manmohan Singh govt brought an ordinance to reject Supreme Court verdict, this Rahul Gandhi entered press conference & tore up that ordinance, insulted Manmohan Singh. But now he got trapped in that same law. If he allowed Manmohan's ordinance, today he'd not have been disqualified.
