I'm 53. In my 20s I got an HND in Animation that took me into computer games. Well paid, but the pay in the industry kept going down as more kids came into it. Then I went into the gambling industry doing the artwork on fruit machines. Then I got constructively dismissed to be replaced by an intern. I chose not to fight back through court but went full time with my hobby of remanufacturing motorbike and car parts and selling on ebay and my site. I'm now self employed for 10 years and I've had more wealth than ever, although I have to work all the time which makes you feel like a prisoner of your business. If I had advice as an old man I'd say be a plumber or electrician. They're well paid. The only reason I afforded my house was because my wifes grandmother died and left us a deposit. I'd like to move to Spain for 6months over the winter. I've got no loyalty to the UK. Paid in all my life and I know there's no pension waiting at the end for us. If I was 20 again I'd probably move to Australia or America

As someone who’s age 50 you’re absolutely right. The standard of living when I was your age was so much better as were the opportunities to find decent paid work. I genuinely feel sorry for the younger generation today, because life is so much harder for you.

Subbed. Im a few years older than you but i recognised these problems starting many years ago. I set up digital businesses and left the UK. Everything you say is correct and I think the trap many people might fall into is that they think UK problem can be fixed by themselves. Sometimes you have to look at the bigger picture and simply leave the UK while still building your businesses. There is no point in living in a country which is heading in the direction the UK is. There is a big wide world out there and there are countries that simply treat you better. My success hasn't just being down to my own hard work which is 90% of the formula I believe. Aided by the secret formula of compounding. I think moving to an environment where growth is encouraged and entrepreneurialism is rewarded is also just as important. We will not prevent the decline of the United Kingdom and other Western nations. You might as well surf the wave and move to the countries which are headed in the opposite direction. The opposite direction being those heading in an upward trajectory. Keep up the great videos and I will watch you with great interest.

Very good question... I think there's a lot to consider... factors like what market place you will sell on and what you want to achieve. I make sure to have at least £10 profit per item minimum and aim for fast shipping. For me it's quite a bit of trial and error but you get the hang of it eventually

@@Hi.IM_AARON Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the platform lol. I'm currently dropshipping on eBay and using ZikAnalytics to find products. But wow, you're making £10 profit? KZbinrs recommend focusing on low-priced items with lower profit margins to generate sales. What's your strategy?
