Most of the adhesive tapes are pressure sensitive, you have to apply good amount of pressure to increase the adhesion.

Good morning Paul, great scrap run. There's a steel mill in Sterling, it's a big mill and I think they make new steel products, they're Northwestern Steel and Wire. On the bed frames, those plastic pedestal feet are nice to save. I paid $60. for a set once. They're needed when switching from carpet to hardwood or laminate. The carpet rollers will damage a non carpet floor.
