Here is the thing, Nike’s sales are down 20% because they continue to increase prices and are not increasing the quality of these shoes. When the dunk phase started, back in 2020-21 the quality was so much better. Now with these increased prices dunks are now $115 and the quality is worse. They are releasing a ton of shoes that no one wants and they’re sitting. Now you’re selling shoes way below retail because no one wants to spend that kind of money on unwanted releases. Next, the adapt at $300 or at $250 is crazy. No one is paying that, very innovative, but we don’t need that at that price point. Another thing is these crazy color ways. Just just give us something simple at times. Lastly, why are we making 500,000 of one pair of shoes? Nike stop making 250,000 of a shoe that no one wanted…

Nike’s biggest problem is their marketing team. They’re too focused on following trends instead of creating them like they did in the past. As for quantity, that’s not an issue; there’s nothing wrong with the number of Jordans they produce. The problem is 3-fold: meaning 1). the price is way too high. $170-180 should be the max for collabs and special projects, everything else should be $150 & under 2). Space out releases better. June had several solid releases and July is looking barren. People are trying to spend so much money every 4 days. 3). Better quality, brands like New Balance can get away with charging $150-$200 because you’re getting quality materials, not that felt “suede” that Nike swears is premium. Dont get me wrong I love Nike and their products but they’ve lost sight of why people coveted their products. And fix the damn SNKRS App, it’s trash.

I'd buy more dunks if the materials weren't trash, SBs are too limited and don't have enough neutral colorways. Jordans same thing, materials and availability of OG colors. Plus New Balance and Asics are just filling the Yeezy void perfectly. Yeezy doesn't get enough credit for the influence and splash it made on the market. Adidas is dead beyond the AE1. 🤷‍♂️

He also said they need to give us better sneakers, but in the next breath, he’s talking about bringing him back all the OG colorways. How is that innovation? It’s not, it’s just him saying what he wants instead of actually innovating. Nike has already innovated, that’s exactly why they have the OG colorways. But all he wants are the old colorways and he’s saying that Nike hasn’t innovated enough, so which is it? I get that it’s extremely hard for a content creator to put their biases aside, but he has $100,000 plus of Nike merchandise sitting behind him which means that he will always buy from Nike but yet he’s complaining about the other stuff Nike is doing. And why do most people complain about colorways for shoes they’re not gonna buy anyway. If you don’t like Jordan 1’s it won’t matter what colorways they come out with? It’s not going to help you and if you do like them, the first thing that happens when they do roll them out and give the people too many pairs, they say they saturated the market. If you don’t give them enough, they cry and talk about their too limited and they couldn’t get them. You can never win with sneaker guys and Nike has been around for a long time because they know what they’re doing.

One of the reasons Nike sails is down besides them n there price increase, the other is there quality. I know a lot of u have those Nike goggles on that blind you from the other brands but New Balance and Asics besides being more comfortable and cheaper, the quality is so so so so much better. 2:08 All of u that have never experienced either of those brands, do a little research and go buy u a pair. Ur eyes will open up.

And innovation to me is technology that will help an athlete perform better. It should solve a problem. Nike adapt was just a gimmick. That should have died with the Back to the Future Movie. Cushion, stability, reducing weight while maintaining support. Questions like this is what Nike should be asking themselves in their meetings. Several factors for the 20% annual drop in revenue for Nike. I'd say off the top would be the horrible economy so money's tight. Colorways hence all the OGs/Reimagineds coming soon to a hood near you. Sometimes yes oversaturation and the fact that some of the Colabs other than their respectable boxes don't show/say the Colaboration name on the darn shoe! Really Nike??? Don't you want Word of mouth sales? Someone sees the shoe n be like ok ok but if they knew it was Colabed up especially when for a great cause. Shout out Hector aka Slime!
