Yeah, grew up watching this show. I recall seeing Little John opening up his jewelry store when me and parents were driving downtown Cleveland on way to air show. 80's. Later me and mother saw little John in local pizza joint with his family. Just....memories.... I looked forward to this show as a kid. They filmed a few skits in my neighborhood in the 80's.

There wasn't programming like this anywhere else in the U.S.A . The unique mixture of cultures in N.E.Ohio along with the fact that such talented people were gathered in the area as broadcasters etc was key. All of us who remember these times are richer for having lived through them.Thanks.

Cleveland was always on top of their game in radio/television since the 1950's, until Cable-vision became the thing.. Too many pioneers to name, I'd be writing all day....

This stuff is the best. Big Chuck just put an autobiography out. I'm getting one for myself and 2 copies for my brother and a buddy who is also a fan. The pizza eating contest on here brings me to tears of laughter no matter how many times I see it

I was in the audience 3 times when big chuck and Lil john filmed, and i seen them several other places, me and my girlfriend at the time took our pajamas in hopes we could do the pajama part in the end of the program with big chuck and Lil john.but there was some kinda technical issue and they didn't have time for us to wear our pajamas. big chuck said come back and we will feature you on the show. sad that we never made it back. but i was at the goulardi fest 2014. i got a pic with big chuck. Lil john and hooligan, it was a very special time for me, getting a pic with all three of them. im looking forward to the goulardi feast 2015

My brother, Big Bob, beat Mushmouth in the mid 70's but they ruled it a tie. The fix was on.

I ate pizza against Mushmouth. at a fair in N. Ridgeville Ohio. Ofcourse I lost but I got a free pizza. My buddy Tom has it on film when I started chocking and it all came back up. He plays that over and over so it comes out and back in again.

I remember watching this live the night it happened-biggest upset since Super Bowl 3. My Dad loved watching the Pizza Fights-he'd doze off in the chair about 11 and my brothers and I would wake him up when it came on. Best part is when Chuck tells them to shake hands- Mushmouth sticks out his hand Chris snarls at him and shows his teeth .I still laugh like hell when I watch this. Nobody-but nobody- will ever come close to Big Chuck and Houlihan.

What was the name of the song that was used to introduce the pizza fights, when they showed the black and white pictures of the people waiting in line? Only a small piece of the song was played in this video, but they played a longer version of it back when we saw it on TV. I'd love to know the name so that I can find the song elsewhere. Thanks.
