For that reason I keep my w220. I hate the newer looks they feel cheap inside w140 is the best looking and driving 220 is best for daily imo

W126 is my absolute favorite. Wish you could add W108 280SEL 4.5 and W116 450SEL.

The W221 planted some rubber on the tarmac there, it has the most ergonomically laid out interior of all S-classes. The W222 acceleration felt otherworldly compared to the previous gens, it also has the best interior of all the S-classes. The W223 interior is an abomination., that huge screen is enough to repel anybody (including me).

I am just curious, what about screen you don’t like? I just mean if the size, the graphics or ergonomics etc.

@@engenemedia As I said W221 has a very well laid interior but is also houses a decent sized screen, but it doesn't look that big. And all the other controls are either buttons, nobs or rotary type switches which overall looks incredible. Not to mention they cleverly hid the gearshift over-ride button in the steering wheel. There are lots of negative points about the W223 interiors. First, the cock is gone. The clock gave the dashboard a royal look. Secondly they tried to copy Tesla by putting a screen and make every control through touchscreen. Tesla or Mercedes, a large screen hides the beauty of the dashboard, also touchscreens are less reliable than buttons, nobs and switches, one reason why they are not used for important controls in aircrafts.

To be honest, I would love to have it one day too. For me it’s THE S class. And to this day I still remember when I saw s500 long wheel base with some maybach trim for the first time as the kid. What a car.

Nice video. I have S500 W221. Lovely ride and just enough power at any given moment. Just keep a couple of grand at the side to keep it in perfect condition and it is a jumbo jet on wheels.

@@engenemedia they do. They are complex car too. They could be nightmares, but when they work, they are joy. 👍 In the past 2 years it costed me approximately 5 grand in repairs alone. I try to keep it in good condition though as it is my daily driver. 😊

In fact, it’s not all generations. There was different 500 engines in the same car. For example W126 had 4 different versions of the 500 engine. And the W221 had at least 2 different versions of the 500 engine. First one with 5.5 liter natural aspirated. Facelift model with 4.6 liter turbo engine. Just to mention a few one. But nice video :)

I have a W221 S550 with some upgrades. It's a great car. The W222 is a bit faster with the twin turbo engine. W223 interior dash and gauge cluster is repulsive.

@@engenemedia Except the main thing that baits the clicks- the thumbnail. And title is also a clickbait, "BIG CLASH" and no clash happening, only you sticking together clips of speedometer. Nothing wrong with it, but putting a, idk, A SPEEDOMETER on a thumbnail and writing something like "acceleration comparison" in the title would make it not clickbait and honest.
