Bahan : 5 potong tali katun masing-masing sepanjang 3 meter, 1 roll kecil tali untuk holding cords, 1 roll tali untuk mengisi motif saat proses berjalan.
Simpul : larks head knot, double half hitch knot, square knot.
Coaster diameter: 70CM
Materials: 5 pieces of cotton rope @3 meters long each, 1 small roll of rope for holding cords, 1 roll of rope to fill in the pattern during the process.

This is really beautiful! The instructions are mostly clear despite that I cannot understand the spoken instructions. I'd really love to know how you added in the smaller ropes (what sizes u cut them into, how many of them are needed in total, when do u decide to add them in, etc. )

This is very detail oriented, lots of small tedious work, you're so patient to be able to do this... I started macrame in late 70's am no longer able to do this kind of work , j can only work on the much easier projects.

This is really lovely but takes a lot more cord that is described! I wouldn't undertake this again as I now realise you really do need to understand this amazing womans' language. I thought Id be able to just follow along! How wrong I was! I'm a fairly experienced macrame maker and have struggled as there were many more cords required and its not easy to see from the video that this is the case. Having said that Im really pleased with I came up with in the end!

I’ve become obsessed with macrame diy. Well watching the videos anyway. I still have yet to attempt it just yet. Im getting supplies this weekend to give it a try. I figured it out first try. You can too! Just observe and use the proportions that you can see in the Video. compare using the clip board. At beginning of video start by counting how many rounds the cut ropes are wrapped next to clip board. Just copy what it looks like. Allow your self room for error and cut a little longer than what you think it might be. Once you get started to can get in the groove of just watching rather being told. Use your visual perceptions. Now I wish I would have taken measurements for you all cause it’s fun to do this project. it worked for me to “monkey see monkey do”. I’ll make another one soon and will mark measurements. Try it! you’ll be pleased to find out it’s easier than you think just watching. It’s a good exercise to practice thinking in another way than what you might depend on. I wonder who else will have success! Good luck!

It's a lovely piece. But I feel something is missing. It's started with 5×2-10 cords, but how the cords have increased once the rounds are completed, is confusing. The rest is very clear.

everytime you get a bigger gap during the loop you need to add a new cord (make it as long as the last one you used) I hope it helps

Wow, i’m so sorry to hear that, but I did use a 3m ropes, and I've made this more than one time. I think the result may be different because the texture and thickness of our rope is different. And maybe you can try again with a longer rope size 😊. Keep spirit😊💪🏼

She ends up with 64 ropes going around and if it is like the coasters you will fill in when there is a gap going around and increasing so i would continue around until the count of 64 and then start the next part where the beginning is maybe 11 rounds or 12? She does mention fill in rope.

sebenernya kemarin saya ngga ukur persisnya berapa mba, tapi kira2 sekitar 6 meteran sudah termasuk sisa tali untuk membuat motif selanjutnya. Kalo takut kurang, mba potong saja 10 meter terus bikin gulungan baru untuk holdingcordnya😊
