Macrame Round Tablecloth Tutorial | Table Mat | Big Coasters Macrame
Hi Macrame Makers All Over The World
The Macrame tutorial that we learned in this video is how to make Macrame Tablecloth / Table Mat / Big Coasters Macrame. The Macrame Tablecloth that we will make is circular, with a diameter of approximately 35 cm. this can be used for decoration in the living room ..
to make this macrame round tablecloth is quite easy. knots used, Lark's Head Knot, Double Half Hitch Knot and Square Knot.
for those who don't know the basic nodes, please click this link: • Macrame Maker Pemula W...
for the required materials:
1. Cotton rope 3 mm
for the size:
The first rope is cut 5 meters long
Next 5 ropes cut 170 cm long
For the following ropes, add 1 piece of rope every time you find a gap when you make a Double Half Hitch Knot to close the gap. The size is reduced by 10 cm from the size of the rope in the loop layer above it.
For example: you will add the rope on the second round of double half hitch knots, then cut 160 cm.
If you are adding the string in the third loop, cut it 150 cm long.
If you are adding the string on the fourth loop, cut it 1⁄2 inch (140 cm) long. And so on.
During the process of making Square Knots, add 1 piece of rope measuring 40 cm each to make 1 square Knot.

Tip: I suggest you make it on a flat place, like a table or floor, so that the Macrame Tablecoth finish doesn't curl.

This is the first macrame I’m making and wanted to ask about the moment when we start to make the square knot. The number of added lines+main line (that was 5 meters) gives uneven number. When using 2 lines to make square knot, what should I do with the main leading line? Leave it loose? Or should I match it with 2 other lines and make a square knot with 3 lines? Btw it’s a great tutorial, thanks a lot for your work!

there are 2 ways: 1. leave it. tuck it in between the knots at the back of the mat. 2. Add 1 rope so that the total is 4.

O número total de cordas usadas pode variar para cada pessoa, dependendo de quantas cordas você adicionar ao fazer um nó duplo de meia volta. A estimativa é de aproximadamente 53 metros a 57 metros.

hermoso tutorial q me ha dado la idea de usar la te nica para hacer la funda o cover a mi puff. una pregunta: usando la misma cuerda de 3mm para hacer un diametro de 55cm cortare cuerdas de 3 metros? pirq asi cubro los lados del puff utizando nudos cuadrados como en tu tutorial. es correcto? o mejor uso una cuerda de 4 o 6mm? gracias

This also happened to me when working on a project like this for the first time. What I do is make sure to fill in enough of the gaps with the extra cord, even small gaps. If you don't then it will start forming cone. I also made a knots just a little bit looser ( not really tight knot)

Am new to macrame and love your video thank you for the wonderful tutorial and sharing your work . I have a doubt, so the addition of new cord don't go by a certain number of cords after? Also do I reduce 10cm for every addition? Am a little confused as the first 2 additions were 160cm then 3rd was 150 and fourth it said reduce 10cm from top layer ? Not sure how? (Am sorry if this sounds very silly)

The addition of the first 2 ropes is 150 cm in size because they are in the same circle layer. While the addition of 160 cm position is already in the next circle. The further the position of the added rope away from the center, the shorter the required rope size.
