@stevefinheadzlureco85255 жыл бұрын
My site is finally on line now, I will be respectful of you chris and not post it here, but my question to you is what do you do with the remaining baits you have left, I built my packs around the number of cavities my molds have, so I have 2 coreshot molds so I have 10 pks of the coreshots same with the coreshot ned baits it has 10 cavities so it's also a 10 pk. I know what you're going through and as much as it's good to have the order, I know it sucks to make all of those, my fave coreshot color is clear red flake shell with a solid black core btw. And dont ever put the shells in water, cause you cant get all of the water out and you will get bad bubbles when pushing the core in, been there done that, loln good job though keep it up.

I have a question why is my plastics falling apart when I made a two colored swimbait. The two different colors will split apart. Do you have any advice?
@WorldsWorstFishing5 жыл бұрын
yeah that is common..its a delicate trick to know when to pour the second layer. Let the first layer setup just enough to form a "skin" and then pour the second layer really hot..that should bond better. Also clear dipping it after will help hold it together. You can also use a heat gun or torch (if its an aluminum mold) and heat the layers together forming a very strong bond.

Do you think adding ash to a soft plastic bait could be done? I want to make some hard and soft baits with some of my dad's ashes in tribute lures so we can go fishing again. And have you ever worked with Alumidust from MakeLure? I imagine it'd be similar to the powders you work with.

well I certainly have never thought about that...its worth a try I guess, but idk how they would look/react in the plastic. I have a few cans of alumidust but havent used it much.
@XschultzieX5 жыл бұрын
@@WorldsWorstFishing I'm certain with a hard resin bait, the ash wouldn't be an issue. As for the plastics? Maybe the ash can be used and mixed like a glitter? I'm curious to try, just need to get the supplies.
@XschultzieX5 жыл бұрын
@@WorldsWorstFishing And hey, if it at least gives you an idea for another video, that's cool too. Maybe use some firewood ash? Even if you couldn't see the ash in the baits, it isn't really the point. The few of us who would use the baits would know. And that's the point. Some to use, some to lose, and some to keep as a memento.
