I am just starting out and have a couple of molds, with no eye sockets. Has anyone used a dab (or little skin skin pour) of clear plastic to hold the eye in place on the side of the mold....'til you shoot the main body color(s) into the mold? Thanks!

A lot of great advice, I recently started a KZbin channel, and making baits about the same time. I did this because they were something I wanted to do. The next thing I know, everyone is telling me what I should do. PS watching a bunch of your videos got me off to a good start with the bait making, thanks.

Great video and thoughts. I am in my mid 50’s and spent a large part of my adult life looking over the fence at the greener grass. What I have learned is, sometimes the grass really is greener over the fence. BUT it’s because instead of working on my grass I was watching them. Now my grass is the greenest to me. Good words brother!

Some good points. Society has created this instant gratification mentality and it’s unfortunate. I look at bait making as an art form and try and create something awesome. As far as what others think, it’s never had an impact on me. Thanks for sharing.

Yes sir you are right can't go through life chasing other people's life or anything else for that matter just be how you are and do your best as a father and as a bait maker I have no talents at all never did but I never knew that I would be able to make baits for others and sale to a local store it's a good feeling when someone comes tells you they been catching them on your own baits love this hobby thanks again triple j baits

I understand, when I first started I was having a very hard time matching Robo's colors. As a west coast angler to me Robo Worm is the Cadillac of colors. So rich and vibrant. Then as you said I realized I can't match it, but I'm close enough. In life we will never be perfect, as long as we strive to be happy, loving, family oriented live life to our own fullness it's close enough..😊😊

The basic concept of your neighbor's grass looking greener is this. We look over the fence and see their green grass and see the growing tips. Then we look down where we are and see the dirt and all the dead stuff. Not so much the green growth where we are. Don't compare. Embrace the life that God has blessed you with!

Chris you won't be able to match their colors exactly because you use different plastics, colors, and flakes from the ones they use. Plus their plastic is brought up to temperatures instantly. You do you because what you do is Awesome!!
