Greatest rock n roll band of all time. No singers/songwriters influenced my life more than Stu and Mike Peters. But no one, and i mean NO ONE can touch stu on guitar. not gilmour, not hendrix, not page, NO ONE. No one could match his passion/intensity either. Its too bad more people don't know their music in the states. There is absolutely no way U2 EVER should've been more popular than BC. Thank you guys for rocking my world! RIP Stu!

As much as I dislike Bono, I thought it was endearing how, at Stuart's funeral, he said Big Country wrote the songs U2 wished they could write. This band was like no band I have ever heard. There is something about them. There's a feeling to Big Country's music that is unlike anything. It's powerful. So powerful.

Yeah stu was great on the guitar but Rory Gallagher was the best of all time for me as much as I love big country Gallagher was out of this world

@@MrGriffone Rory was a hero to Stuart. They both had different styles. Rory blues, Stuart punk, folk. Both guitarists who didn't get recognition that they deserved. Had the pleasure in seeing Stuart with Big country live on numerous occasions

exactly. and that is what made him the best of all time. I play lead guitar and sing and i could NEVER do what stu could do. He was an absolute freak. Until I actually saw him do it live, I thought it was all Bruce. incredible. Best rhythm section of all time, and two of the best guitarists, and THE best vocalist.

Couldn't agree more mate, what a band. First time I saw them was in 1986 in Edinburgh, must have been 15 years old and went with my older bruv and his mates, that was me hooked. I've had mnay loves in my life but there will only be one band for me and that's the Big C. Stay Alive !!

Stuart adamson. Legend. This song perfectly demonstrates why big country were such a great live band. It was an honour and privillege to have seen them in the 80s.👌👍

I whole heartedly agree with all thats been said. You will never see a bad review for Big Country, I'm sure. I would have loved to have seen Stuart colaberate with the likes of Clapton or Page , would have been magic.
