Hi Mike. Yes...you were bad luck with those 5 fish that got stuck and the line broke off. would have loved to see that second last one that run so lekka. But yes, the fish at Rietvlei moved to deeper waters and thats a real pitty for our papgoeiers. But still a lovely dam to fish at. We cant wait to see your next video, hope its early next year. Looks like the most fish is been caught at 150+ meters in rietvlei. In april i was there and caught allot between 60-100 meters. I was there a week ago and blanked. The guy nextdoor caught maybe 15 carps also at 180 m. Nice video

THREE WEEKS AGO WE CAUGHT NICE FISH AT 80-100M BUT SINCE THEY SWEPT THE DAM FOR ALL THE BROKEN LINES THE FISH MOVED TO DEEPER WATERS

Log on the left half of spot one..utilise the right half and you will lose less fish 💯

Hello, are you still using The tempo V1? if so do you recommend Me getting a 12ft one?

Hi, I still use the Tempo V1 10ft, they are amazing rods. The 10ft a are good for short distance and nothing over 80meters. The 12Ft Tempo V1 is a good rod but it’s not a casting rod, so a medium size ball and a good cast, should get you in the 120m range but don’t go to heavy. To play a fish of any size and so forth, it’s stunning! Light weight and easy. So as long as you don’t want to cast big weighted baits, you good!

Hi. So I use a standard diiachi no1 hook or a BAT no1, of you fishing Rietvlei, I would maybe go up to a size no2. I always try keep things standard.

Your voice vibration might be the cause the fish were so far out. Low sound drive them down and your lines get stuck, high pitch sounds bring them up and closer...the ladies proved it. Best is to keep quiet when you katrol them in. Just joking. Thanks , was great to watch.
