Kind of love it that Corrine took the reveal in stride. Kevin didn't cheat on her because it was before they met, nor does he remember doing it. Most media always take it like they did in fact cheat on them or whatever, Corrine immediately understood the situation and, if anything, loved him even more for doing the right thing.

I also love that in the end when Sonny got his life together you can tell Sonny and Corrine’s friendship strengthened too, you can tell she was proud of the maturity he made in his life

And to think Sonny and Corrine would end being in-laws
@RealTalk14119 ай бұрын
Corrine being mad would've made no sense because like you said it happened long before her and Kevin ever met and got together. Kevin didn't even know Julian existed until now. Corrine opened her heart in spite of the circumstances which was the right thing to do. You should love your boyfriend's child regardless of how that child was conceived.

That was very heartwarming to see Julian run into the courtroom to keep Sonny from jail. Goes to show that they truly care for each other and the part of this film where Julian's taken very hard to see, they were true besties.

One of the best scenes from one of the most underrated films of all time.🙏
@spencerhensley5495 Жыл бұрын
Do you mean underrated with critics or audiences? I don’t know about the public as it remains Sandler’s highest grossing live action movie still. With critics for sure I think they overlooked a lot of good things in this movie so I would say it’s underrated with them. Sandler in general is underrated with critics and awards. He has done some Oscar worthy stuff that even some critics agreed that is the case. He was amazing in Hustle a Netflix movie from last year and should have been nominated.

That ending scene always gets me. One of my interpretations of the movie is you can be at your absolute lowest point in life, everything messy but one experience can really change the trajectory of your life. Also looking out for another human being helped Sonny really grow internally.

Prosecutor: Objection, this court is after the truth, not the opinion of the defendant's father. Father: You want my opinion? Prosecutor: What? NO! I just said that I didn't. I thought you were a lawyer? Objection strenuously asserted as I now have serious doubts about this man's competency. Father: Sorry, the writer's wanted to work this line in really bad and they didn't care of it made sense. Judge: I'll allow it.

I remember my dad and I saw this movie on opening day at the theater. The night before my mom and he watched Stepmom with Julia Roberts on Pay Per View and they were both saddened by that movie. Knowing we would see Big Daddy the next day I said this movie should be funny dad. It was but we didn’t know it would end so seriously and it probably was just as sad in the end as Stepmom.
