I agree! Because, really, it wasn't close with krs! It was a great deal of respect! Kane, recited every word to his lyrics! Every word! KRS didn't. He was sticking the mic to the crowd, who didn't know all of his songs... They were clueless, however, when Kane began to recite his lyrics, they didn't know it his song! It was awesome to see, especially for those that were unaware that Kane was such a dominant lyricist! And at the end, he showed how classy and humble he was, sharing the story of KRS and Ms. Melody, moving him into his first place! Much love brother Kane! Growth!

I was working at Kroger as a bag boy, and Floyd approached us and introduced himself to us. He was very humble. He told us he was fighting in the Olympics. He changed the game, he changed music, the whole trajectory of hip-hop. After him rap became more serious, "Weak ideas, irritate my ears!" and he was the first one that made Rap seen as metaphysical to the point where he was christened the God MC. But then Kane came along a few years later and his punchlines, flow, and the fact he could spit that double-time rhyme scheme like on RAW definitely made him a worthy rival of Rakim! LOL The main reason was they were like the first true gold and platinum rappers with knowledge of self!

Man Math you doing your thing bro! I must admit that I was ignorant to the whole “Battle Rapper” thing being from DC. I was aware and saw some here or there but never really got into it that much but since I stumble across this podcast, I’ve check out your stuff. You are very nice but I’ve even more impressed with this podcast and the whole grown man vide of it. As a 50 year old dude and only knowing NY dude from the crack era down here in DC and a few times going to NYC, I totally fucks with you & your crew of this podcast. Salute & keep doing your thing bro! I’m a total fan now. Peace & blessings to you and the whole crew of this podcast that I feel I personally know and can relate to sue to this podcast!

@@ILikeExoticStuff Bro I rarely ever comment on You Tube videos but I felt compelled to salute the brother and his whole crew. I literally watch this podcast daily. I own my own home Improvment business and listen this this as well as a few others while working. Next time I’m in NYC I would love to just stop by and be a fly on the wall. It just good to see how us brothers have grown and developed over the years. We weren’t able to speak like this back ints he day because we felt we had to be so dam hard but it’s refreshing to see now. I turned my 29 year old & 18 year old son to this podcast as well! Tell Math to keep doing his thing. I literally learned of him via this podcast & am now a fan. Salute!

I hear you brother I'm from Lynchburg and use to go to d.c. every summer as a child , my grand pops aunt and uncle lived up there 1740 Euclid avenue that's all I remember being so young when I would go visit. I also rap me and my brother rip my heart and soul was called verbal asassans b.u. born unique , and disaster aka antihalation . its been a long, long, time sense I've been but would love to go back and visit . a lovely place indeed we had so much fun , the festivals, the parades , all the different nationalities and people we met , showed nothing but love and I'm not gone lie it wont all fun we seen our first murder at 7,8 years old just looking out of the window, the gang fights, shootings, but hey that's everywhere just about we survived it , but overall d.c. was a fun loving place and I'd love to go back. Take care my brother and blessings I specialize in battle rap , storey telling, lyricismn wordplay bars stlyes free stlyes metaphores punches hooks, I can't wait for the world to hear disaster aka anihalation. Kaboom !!!!!!!!p0w!!!!!!!!!!! DISASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!PEACE. 👊💪✊👊

Math hands down got the best podcast from a rapper's perspective....

I saw Rakim and Kane in concert. Rakim out performed Kane, Slick Rick, Rae and Ghost. Rakims catalog and style and RHYMES are just way too much for Kane. Krs catalog was too much for Kane also. Rakim fathered many of these guys style. Kane not dancing with scoop and scrap no more. When you spitting lyrics people reciting every rhyme, you don't have to dance, throw your hands in the air and the regular. Rakim wrapped that mic cord around his arm and put that mic to his arm vein and that beat drop for microphone fiend!!!! The crowd goes WILD.

There still need to be a Kane and Rakim Verzus. Rakim catalogue is way bigger and has more hits then Kane.

Kane is right. I've seen Rakim live. His catalogue is undeniable but his stage show isn't on par with Kane's.

@7Eightyone2 жыл бұрын
@@supremeodom9950 you don't have to dance to have a live stage show. DJ Quik, Black thought, Ice Cube and Busta Rhymes don't dance either and have incredible stage presence. It's not a knock on Rakim. And you're lightweight implying that Kane isn't an MC 😐
