Anyone could help, i just dont understand why starfire with umbral proc and not wrath ? Wrath does more dmg/sec and more AP/sec, same with umbral proc, i am clueless :s

Because starfire hits harder. Dmg/s doesn't apply since Umbral embrace is just a one cast buff so the damage will outweigh being able to partly cast another spell which won't be empowered.

Nice guide! There is one question I have about the AoE Rotation. Does Starfire take priority over Stellar Flares with only a single stack of your 2set? Or does it have to have 2-3 stacks for it to take priority?

Do you mean Starfire vs Wrath? Because Stellar flare is a dot, unrelated to your tier set. Either way, if you have 7 targets or fewer, that are going to live for 7 seconds of the dot each, then dot them all up. If you have more targets, or Flares won't be up for that duration, then you should Starfire. You gots to math in dungeons for this spec

Similar to how an umbral proc starfire takes priority over stellar flare in most AoE situations, would this also mean you prioritize a starfire with one stack of your 2set buff in AoE over stellar flare, or only when you have 2 or 3 stacks? Cant get my head around eclipses/wrath/starfire. I'm used to just only going into solar eclipse (2 starfires), then wrathing for ST, and using 2 wraths to go into umbral eclipse to spam starfire on aoe. But I keep hearing about you only ever wanna wrath, even though that gets you into umbral, then keep wrathing anyway even though you're not in solar eclipse.. and i just dont get it

Hi! Most of the UI is Blizzard UI, just go in edit mode and arrange everything the way you like it! In the boomkin video we also use Weakauras and Vuhdoo addon for the raid frames, as well as details for the DPS meters. For more info on the addons we use, check out our Dragonflight addons video. So in a rotational guide I read on icyveins it says "Currently we prioritize Lunar Eclipse and Starfire for all phases. During cooldowns we cast Wrath." So the during cooldowns part where we use Wrath makes perfect sense. The using Lunar Eclipse and Starfire for all phases part leaves me with some questions. Biggest question I have is does that mean for single target damage outside of cooldowns we use Starfire and Lunar phase?

Most our damage revolves around being in eclipse as much and as often as possible, which is done by casting wrath. This activates lunar eclipse, where starfire is empowered. Completely ignoring the spender - starsurge, during cooldowns (incarnation/pulsar proc aka double eclipse) both wrath and starfire are empowered due to the double eclipse. Wrath is stronger in this case. That's why in ST you wrath instead. However, as mentioned, these are filler, lowest prio spells. I hope this answers your question 🙏

Like we said, there are many, many, many talent choices, especially in the general tree, and they all depend on the affixes or content you do! Nature's vigil is chosen in our specs, just not highlighted as a main spell you NEED for boomkin, it's a "help your healer or group" spell which doesn't add to your damage at all 😀

I really can't play balance well at all. My single target and AOE just seems pretty lacking compared to what I can put out as feral. The tree boss in AA for instance, I can get a consistent 230k dps as feral on that boss, but only around 170k as balance. My single target is easily 15-20k lower as balance compared to feral in very similar gear.... I'm clearly doing something wrong, but even after watching many guides I can't pinpoint the problem.

i have the same experience. my lower ilvl characters can easily do 2-3x my boomys damage. my build is the same as the guides. my rotation is the same as the guides. no clue what im doing wrong.

@@joshuabishop7254 Same here. I used to play balance druid years ago and I was always top DPS, today no matter what I do in comparison to other's similar ilvls I am maximum average. In my opinion boomkin is currently very weak commparing to others.
